  • Awesome song, definatly fits our times now. ..hey hey!

  • These people suck!

  • I listened to this back then. Still like it. Thanx for sharing.

  • @Aquadubious My sentiments exactly. Thanks for posting.

  • i'm twelve and this is THE BEST BAND I'VE EVER SEEN

  • all i can say to you pop music lovers is: LOVE AND ROCKETS FUCK YEAH

  • HOW CAN SOMEONE DESLIKE THIS?!?!?!?!?!

  • Check out a new tune titled "child of the world" by Bumtech on soundcloud, David J played bass on thatbsong, it's awesome!

  • Great Song! I used it in my blog post

  • This is a good cover!

  • This version has nothing on The Temptations!

  • 'Ball Of Confusion' is what I call Ping Pong balls. They seem to bounce in every direction despite my best attempts.

  • I SEEK POLE SHIFT SURVIVAL GROUP

  • I was working in a record store at the time. In my naive ignorance I didn't know this was a cover until my boss heard it and played the original for me. Mind blown.

  • The B-side of this single was a great instrumental song also found on the album "Seventh Dream Of Teenage Heaven", called "Saudade".

  • wow i'm a teenager again! x

  • I like it but i prefer the Temptations version.

  • How the hell does Daniel make that sound with his guitar?

  • Daniel is one of the raddest guitarists to rock the Telecaster.. him and Joe strummer..its like that guitar was made for him!!

  • fabulousssssssssss !!!

  • ew.....

  • MY SWEET 16 .......ROCK N ROLL !!!

  • OHH the techno megadeth..

  • Should be the Occupy Wall St. movement's theme song.

  • @SamiaShoaib Exactly. That's what I've been thinking. It's amazing how the present is the past. All of these issues and problems are the same ones they had in 1970, when that song was written.

  • great cover. I've added this to my FB group dedicated to cover versions. It's called "the Guilty Pleasure of the Cover Version" Feel free to join in.

  • Definitely an awesome cover . . . and more to my liking than the original. Like it or not, I really couldn't care less.

  • very inspired

  • This is a lot better version of the Mowtown song!!

  • @Byron103084 ok you must be kidding. this is so much fluffy crap. the original was real..and written in the time of the Detroit Riots. this is like michael jackson singing Imagine or worse.

  • Tones on Tail Go!!!!!!!!

  • What the fuck is this shit, the temptations is the only good version.

  • good

  • Here, in Canada, RCA included this song on L & R's debut album "Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven" which put it between the songs The Game and Seventh Dream. It was a weird fit! Personally, I prefer the original UK LP release, which omitted it!

  • Daniel and David are very very nice, but Kevin is mine!

  • rap on! Toad The inverse and infernal aspect of the frog-symbol:that is to say, the symbolic significance is the same though in a negative sense. Or , as the traditional language of esoteric thought puts it: ' There are also certain animals whose mission it is to break up the astral light by a process of absorption peculiar to them. There is something fascinating about their gaze: they are the toad and the basilisk. Rap on. Borneo rainbow toad. rap on basilisk. Great version ' rouse ball'

  • Merci!

  • These guys are just a bunch of remote controlled gravity thief repellers. But they make good music.

  • How is it a cover from Motown if he says reaganomics? thats 80s

  • @MrJasonmatteson Simple, they "updated" the lyrics. What's cool is how true LR stayed to the original. Many of the same social issues that were around in 1970 were still around in 1985.

  • Damn, Peter was sooooooooo hot! (and I'm a total Lezzie)...

I never understood why they were not huge, they were so much better than about everything back then, and actually that is still true...

  • Took a vacation to DC one summer, and every time we were driving into the city, this song came on my iPod, it was pretty funny.

  • Rock the rouse ball chair.Sir Roger Penrose Ball of confusion

ball call fall hall mall tall wall

  • PURE NOSTALGIC COOLNESS. if you listened to this back then you were ahead of your time.

  • @paralentor right, now its kinda trendy but its better people listening to this than the new messias like mark ronson (?) or The Killers (????).

and don't let me start talking about coldplay 'cause I'll play again Echo and the Bunnymen.

  • Much better than the Duran Duran version.

  • @FrankHerfjord Seriously? I can't fault either version. It's a great song any way you put it. Temptations original version is awesome as well.

  • This was some great retro-60's stuff in the late 80's great fun

  • excelente banda , temazo !!...... a mi humilde parecer aunque no son bandas del mismo rollo , mejor que Bauhaus .................

  • excelente banda , temazo !!

  • excelente banda , temazo !!1

  • And the band played on...... eve of destruction... people all over the world are dying....... And the band played on.

Full of Confusion.........Wake Up .......and the band played on

  • ugh SUCH A CUTIE!

    Daniel Ash is so beautiful!

  • Ain't nuthin' like dem ol' Motown jams!

  • mejor que bauhaus para mi

  • Temptations did it better..

  • Awesome song thats true to this day! Thanks for posting!

  • Frankie's new record is a gas!

  • so much better than the original....

  • Meilleure que l'originale, best than the original!!!

  • In all fairness and honesty... I LOOOOVE the Temps... greatest group from Motown. I love all their jams, and have my whole life. But this cover is even better than the original! L&R did this one justice!

  • ain't this a rockin song.... yet i have not seen the muffin man yet

  • Great cover and a real hit that time....MORE FANTASTIC ´80´s music at my channel!!!! Take a look...

  • Daniel *-*

  • :O where has this band been! and why didnt i know about them >:[ i feel like i've been living in a cave for the last 16years of my short life.

  • @zant741 don't be crazy. They were existing on the surface of earth in the 80'S...;«0

  • @littlebay75 Cant agree with you more. I have so much of his work of course with Bauhaus, Love And Rockets, and Tones On Tail. All awesome stuff!!

  • daniel ash the coolest guy who ever lived :}

  • @littlebay75 I met him when Bauhaus opened for NIN a few years back. He was so polite and sweet!!

  • @MrPageyzoso I attended that tour as well! NIN's With Teeth tour? Wasn't it a sick show!?!?

  • holy fool awesome song

  • it is a ball of confusion, thanks to dumb tea baggers and economic royalists

  • The 80's Hey! Hey!

  • There is also a Duran Duran Cover of Ball of Confusion and it's my favorite because, well, Duran Duran kicks ass.

  • daniel rocks..hands down

  • SAW THEM IN GERMANY IN 1988 AT THE BAUSCHKAUPF, THEY WERE W/ CLICK CLICK...TOTALLY WORTH SEEING

  • they were brill live

  • Excelente version, alucinante!!!!!

  • Daniel Ash is one fucking hottie!

  • Comment removed

  • Who DID put the filling in pie in the sky???

  • ball of confusion, thats what the worlds today...

  • They are amazing.

  • sin igual

  • I love this remake.. the original is where it's at..but this is a great version. Love when remakes take a different approach.

  • Fucked it up... BIG TIME.

  • @Blazntino if it doesn't redefine the song it ain't worth snot. Sound alike remakes blow chunks.

  • Did you hear the original song?, This is a cover!! and not the "cover copies" that many bands make. Love and rockets were excellent band. From a time where the music it was better, and much more creative than now. Sign of the times that we are now living.....

  • Such an OLD song...Too bad, it STILL applies to us. :o The hair styles change, the rest remains.

  • Great video Great sound Great all around

  • Awesome. This song always plays on the satellite radio at work and I never new who performed this version. I like the original Temptations' version too! I learn new things everyday.

  • Wow, they really lost all direction without peter murphey... this is just shig

  • My fav L&R song. They made some amazing music in their day. And for those that hate sing/talk vocals piss off on this one.

  • That's what The WOrld is Today.

  • why the hell is this classified as disco everyone knows this is light rock or alternative rock of its time.

  • @Masspower1 , or, more correctly "new wave".

  • I want Danny's shirt.

  • still pertinent today...

  • Check out Graham Bonnet's cover of Ball of Confusion. Its better by a mile.

  • wenaaaa me encanta!

  • damn if this song isnt right............

  • I think that hair is wild!

  • chocolate años 90

  • blast from the past!

  • omg i havent heard this since my freshman year high school! good stuff!

  • Tina Turner has a version worth a listen.

  • me gusta y me corro!!

  • la bola de la confusion dan and company

  • BAUHAUS!!!! (minus peter murphy)

  • excellent cover of the original temptations song by a great band <3

  • great music, thank you.

  • this video brings back some of the best memories ever. one of the only and rare instances where a cover song equals the value of its original- The Temptations. the song was written during a time of huge political, social and economic turmoil. very ap pro po for today's climate of citizen unrest towards big brother's massive and epic failure to right by the people's will, and not their own.

    and the band plays on...

  • TOTALLLLLLLLLVLC killandy572

  • My youngest daughter turned me on to Love & Rockets and Echo & the Bunnymen and...

  • gran clasico............................

  • This sucks

  • emotionless???????? in the day, if you were on the dance floor when this was playing, and you were "right" there was nuthin' better!!!!!!!! except maybe "atomic dog"

    turn it up!

  • The safest place to live is on the Indian reservation.

  • This is not a "cover" is a "version" . Can't compare Love and Rockets with the Temptations and if you don't know Love and Rockets, well your musical knowledge is very narrow they played a bunch of times in Boston, both are good but a bit different, I like Love and Rockets better. By now Love an Rockets is a classic band, saw them in New Haven in 1990.

  • @elalex1777

are you a loveandrockets fan? i danced to this in the early 90's!!!!!

  • No one is trying to replace the Temptations version, they're just making a different one......and a pretty damn good one. One of the best songs of 1985!! You must be old topguy to not know of this band.

  • The Temptations are the Original, The Best and will never be replaced. Just imitated. Never the same.

Every wonder why no one knows this group, but the Temptations are classic, household name.

  • @topguyboston  I see people still have so much time on their hands that they actually go out looking to be offended at something. As though this band EVER made any pretense of "replacing" the band they like enough to cover. And the real reason why "no one knows this group" is that they're sort of a side-project of a great band (Bauhaus) playing music while their other member/lead singer isn't around. Kudos to Love and Rockets for not caring about looks and covering a song they love.

  • Love this so much better than Temps version...and I loved the Temps.

  • I call weed confusion, it is a cool new slang. Pick this up if you can if you can't the second option is wizard

  • I miss Love & Rockets so much! Thanks for the memories!!

  • @wolfmanoncrack This is really REALLY bad.

  • yeah yeah so you know something about the temptations. but it's like daniel said in an interview: the original was too slow. this is the realest shit on the planet, wake up and smell the coffee!

  • Yeah Im gonna have to agree. I mean its a cool cover and all but its no where nearly as good as the original. Way to take a song filled with struggle, hopelessness, and despair and completely take the feeling out of it.

  • @MK4vDubbin I agee, it is totally emotionless in this version. They Can play better than me, but this has no soul.

  • Love rockets are comming soon to bombard the UNIVERSE !

    ☮ ❤

  • excelente cancion..!!! felicidades por subirla..

  • WOW first That is great second That intro is so N.S.F.E

  • No kidding adgiblets, at least this is original. I hate when bands and filmmakers redo classics and don't do anything cool with them. I LOVE THIS COVER also the Cure covered Hendrix's Kiss the Sky possible the best cover ever!!

  • @oonamooney Yeah I love this cover too - haha look at their hair and makeup LMFAO I MISS THE 80'S haha it was a simpler time !! Had alot of fun back then dancing to music like this, and my friends make fun of me for favoriting videos like this, hahahaaaa i dont give a shit.

  • ha ha ha

  • @stacylanejellison hahahaaa this shit is like 30 years old, give 'em a break, they're probably all dead anyway LMFAO

  • A blast from the past.. thats awesome!

  • @NAUresistance you are correct...... This totally is a great song! :) hey hey......! :)

  • came to Argentina!

  • Awesome !

  • LOVE this- many good memories- thank you! Saw the Bubblemen live with this tour- exceptional! Love & Blessings-

  • @LisaTeletunes Love it! I saw the bubblemen too at the Town and country Club. Kentish Town. Big moment

  • HEY! Don't be so negative.. this is a VERY good cover. Watch the 68 temptations vid . This song for todays kids... more appropriate now.... don'cha think!!

  • @Biota420 Dude this song is 30 fucking years old, get over it.

  • no, it's 20 years old

  • good cover....temptations for the win

  • @sparklecityphil Agreed, but you gotta admire these modern rocking Brits, who turned to Motown for a cover song.

  • Comment removed

  • @lsc9x Those are classic Brit rock bands that you named. Yes, their influence by US blues and R&B has been over-documented. Love & Rockets came from an era not too keen on Motown, with the exception of Soft Cell and Kim Wilde.

  • @lsc9x Are you nuts? USA has turned to Britain for every musical note they think they own (except possibly Elvis). Rolling Stones were 1961. Beatles 1963. You know nothing about Led Zeps name. Goog it.

  • @XMIR10C Uh, I did google it. Actually, I heard the story back in 1979, but whatever. I quote: "One account of the band's naming has it that Keith Moon and John Entwistle, drummer and bassist for The Who, respectively, suggested that a possible supergroup containing themselves, Jimmy Page, and Jeff Beck would go down like a "lead balloon", a traditional joke describing disastrous results."

  • @XMIR10C Actually, I did google it, but just for your sake. I heard the story in 1979. One account of the band's naming has it that Keith Moon and John Entwistle, drummer and bassist for The Who, respectively, suggested that a possible supergroup containing themselves, Jimmy Page, and Jeff Beck would go down like a "lead balloon", a traditional joke describing disastrous results.

  • @XMIR10C As far as America looking to Britain for every musical note, I would have to agree that Britain has been far and away ahead of the USA in terms of music, but if we are going to be accurate, Britain in the 1960s was heavily influenced by the blues, and "rock and role" which was an offshoot of blues, and the blues originated in America. Having said that, everything from The Beattles to Queen to Iron Maiden to Duran Duran - all brits.

  • @jimidom this song is a motown cover? please explain. thanks!

  • @MrJasonmatteson Yes, it is a Motown cover, written by the great songwriting team of Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong. It was released on the Motown subsidiary label, Gordy, in 1970. Check it out. You may like it.

  • @sparklecityphil Ewe no. L&R steal this as their own. In fact the Temptaions got owned on this! LOL!

  • so beautiful...

  • I wish Bauhaus were still together. Although Pete Murphy solo and Love and Rockets are awesome too.

  • I like the L&R made this song their own.

Love and Rockets is one of my favorite bands, so I like their arrangement. People who don't like L&R will not like the flavor.

The tension that builds up on 1:49 sounds like the warning siren that brings to mind bomb shelters.

Then the vocal exchanges at 2:39. I love it!

  • This brings back the memories. I still have The Bubblemen on vinyl.

  • I never knew they did this ! Awesome Cover of the 1970 The Temptations Original !

  • if you dont like it, then dont watch it. simple as that. leave it to the people who like it and get out.
