@trishmmr @trishmmr You can get by without knowing ANY German. Everyone under 30 speaks English (unless they don't want to talk t you), and there are many attendees from the US and England who you can meet and travel to the show with.

Das ist nicht notig. Jedes Jahr seit 2005 hab ich furs WGT alleine gereist. Dort habe ich so viele Freunde in Leipzig gemacht. Ich denke, dass WGT alleine mehr Spass ist. Leider kann ich nicht dieses Jahr kommen.

Hmm I believe the modern "Goth" movement started in England, if you are going by the music.

Goth industrial and EBM are huge in Europe, with many new bands and new people joining the scene every year. Most live it as a lifestyle, and many just amp it up for festivals--of which there are many huge ones in Europe, especially Germany, every year, like M'ere Luna, Maschinenfest, Amphi, and others elsewhere. Goth/Industrial is still alive and well in major US cities, esp. LA, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Portland, Seattle and San Francisco.

At 6:31 it says 'Hocico" and they're an aggrotech band from Mexico. The Mayan headdresses and drums were part of their opening. Great show, and they have been around since the early 90s.
