Did I see the construction worker from the Village People in the commercial? I love the montage of people slipping on gloves, headbands, etc. It reminds me of a war movie. Are these people GOING to workout like it's a war on obesity and unshapely bodies? Hmmm...yes, this commerical makes sense now. =D
Now instead of going to fitness centers, people are tuning to the Food Channel, or watching some guy eat himself to death on the Travel Channel. I'm glad I'm older; Today's young people will have to foot the bill for all the obesity related health problems!
In the 80's there weren't that many fat people compared to now. I do remember the good old days when people wore loud spandex, leg warmers, headbands, and those white sneakers.
@rickcain41 yep 80's had great fitness. Now America is known as the fattest country. Ppl get lost in something so not important as food. and that's sad. food will only last 15 mins and it's gone, won't make you happy or solve your problems. Ppl need to just go out and get a life. The 80's were so active, nonexhausiton, no fucking "depression" pills comms. and yes very loud in colors as you say lol
@entertainme3000 Are you kidding me? Everybody and their kid brother did coke in the 1980's...it was the ultimate decade of excess. Not that I disliked the 80's (or did coke, for that matter), but to make the 1980s sound like some kind of noble, natural "happy" time where everybody was innocent is ridiculous.
Aw. I *heart* the '80s. I'm not even bothered by the obsession for fitness. Hell, I was a little kid during that time and was as a result raised on a lot of health food and encouraged to be physically fit. (Hello "Presidental Council For Physical Fitness"!) But yeah -- the '80s? Love.

@rickcain41 Now-a-days you'll be finding women in moo-moo's instead of leotards.
