  • Ashley, you missed half 12 and 13 turn of tullochgorum :P

  • He's still the man!

  • I believe the set starts out with 2 strathspeys; the second being the The Braes of Tulleymet before going into Tullochgorum.

  • brilliant stuff. my daughter put me on to Ashley some years ago. and you guys were great as well

  • Fantastic show, bravo! 5/5

  • wow that was amazing guys! I learned that first tune from Mairi Rankin, but she couldn't remember the name of it. Does anybody know?

  • thanks for your comments, the first tune is Tullochgorum, an 11 part Scottish tune.

  • no problem. thanks so much. I'll have to tell Mairi that. :)

  • @TheBachands wait, 11 parts??!!

  • @TheBachands tullochgorum doesn't start until the 1:29 mark

  • @GarneauFiddle the first tune is a trad strathspey...not sure of the name ...the second is the braes of tullymet....third is tullochgorum...paddy on the turnpike.....the east neuk of fife.......spootiskerry reel

  • You both are amazing! Love it. :) Any concerts or festivals in Victoria that you might be playing in?

  • Thanks for the comment! Our next performance is on April 25th at the Ocean Wilderness Inn in Sooke, it's a "House Concert" starting at 7:30 pm. You can check out our schedule on our website or on MySpace. See you around! Qristina

  • wow! you got to play with asley mcisaac!! cool!~! must have been amazing

  • I prefer listening to Qristina, this guy playing the fiddle looks really tense and should relax more.

I was hoping for his strings to break such is the forcefullness of his technique, relax man!

  • Your hearing the best of the Cape Breton style of fiddling. Amazing stuff.

  • Ashley MacIsaac CB style, that is.

  • Thanks for that!! Sometimes I get exhausted watching Ashley. It was the best 8 minutes and 18 seconds I had in a long while. You have to watch the entire video to appreciate it.

  • Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment on the video. Ashley is a very intense player, but he can also play with a lot of sensitivity - you should check out some of the other videos we posted, especially MacDougall's Pride.

  • @DJFozter

um, "the guy" playing the fiddle is a well known and respected recording artist.

If you don't dig his style that's cool, but perhaps you should read up on your fiddlers :)

  • @DJFozter I was thinking the same thing and noticed that his fiddle was upside down. I don't know if either of us should really go there. Gotta say what ever fiddles your fancy I guess.

  • at 5:00 I began dancing in front of my computer... just too good!!

  • tulloch gorum!
