  • These contests aren't about who makes more power. They're about who has better traction, which is usually due to having more weight over the rear wheels. Put 5 or 6 80 lb bags of concrete in the pick up and do this again. The results will be different.

  • It's a jeep Cherokee

  • @251bale you mean grand cherokee

  • Stupid

  • Se la llevó...

  • korean peace of shit that ford cherokee rules

  • I love you jeep. I hate imports

  • i have that same car :]]

  • Jeeps still got what it's grandpa the mb had in the 40's

  • Foreign sucks dick hahaha!!!! It's funny how V6 grand cherokee pulls a full size truck LMFAO!!!!!

  • Ha,TiTan sissy ass truck for girls..

Dometic diesel trucks for men with beards and two nuts~!

  • It rooks rike the emperor has faired! Oh no! We are apologizing regrettably great emperor of japan for this defeat!

  • You still support foreign Nations when you buy Ford, majority of the parts are made outside of the U.S.

  • @niloc0ikam STFU

  • and now we know why the nissan titan is the worse selling pickup truck in america

  • Buy American, why support the japanese when we have our own better made trucks and our own issues to deal with

  • @royaloreca , yes sir i do. The profit goes to a foreign company! A tariff/tax on the manufacturer equal to the amount of displacement it causes!

  • @Freshkryp69 you do realize that titan was probably made in San Antonio right?

  • Jeep was 4 wheel drive the titan was not. winner is always the one with more traction.

  • I consider that jeep more of a truck than that jap crap piece of shit nissan.

  • @powerstroke279 Well that Jap was made in America ;-)

  • @royaloreca I could give a fuck. My money isnt going to some chink.

  • @royaloreca but the money went back to japan BUY AMERICAN!

  • All jeep grand Cherokee's are all time 4 wheel drive hi or low that is it!

  • @MrThereeldeal You'd have a tough time convincing the 2wd GC's and the ones with Selec-Trac that they are only all-time 4x4.

  • No lo puedo creer es nissan

  • jeep probably had four wheel drive too.

  • Fuck nissans! Usa needs to put a huge tariff on ANY VEHICLE IMPORTED! Since our fucking sorry ass politicians want to out source our jobs, we can use that money to offset the cost of food that the working families lost!

Any citizen of the usa should not buy a fucking jap car! Everytime you do, you take food from the mouths of american children! Fuck traitors!

  • @freshkryp69 you do realize that Titans are locally built for the U.S. market I hope

  • @royaloreca but you do know were the MONEY go's i hope buy American.how much lower do we need this country to sink before we wake up!

  • @O7ROADKING No, not completely true, some of the money goes back to Japan, but remember, they employ Americans, not Japanese. Until recently, Cherokees were only assembled in America with majority of their parts manufactured and imported from other countries, the American full size pickups and other vehicles have plants in Mexico and Canada, if you want to be patriotic about it, appeal to American manufacturers to bring back the assembly plants back to the U.S. where they should be ;-)

  • @royaloreca well i have to give ya that one about some of the money.but from what i can find all 2011 -12 jeeps for North America are mostly Manufactured and Built in the USA.there building a plant in Italy and there is one in Australia. i think for the Euro market

  • Jeep had 2 cylinders less and still beat the gayass Titan.

  • Have professionals where they time it perfectly and the Nissan wins..oh..and try to race them..then see who wins :)

  • nissan... made in japan... jeep... made by chrysler... in the usa... that about sums it up

  • @fart9293 Both vehicles were made in the US. Titan is made in MS and the Grand Cherokee in MI.

  • Naa just buy a FORD instead

  • If you want real pulling power buy a Dodge with a Cummins

  • @Rekkuzan88 or a ford with a cummins.... fuck dodge....fuck GM

  • max tourqe for jeeps coms at a lower rpm than most ,difs dont matter lockers help but still dosnt matter

  • were-airs my be-ang-jo cur-leet-tus !

  • Dumb fucks. That was certainly a good match up.

  • thats not a 4x4 titan. thats why it lost.

  • who cares its a nissan. there trash. my step dad has one and it needed a new engine at 55k.... buy american. most people i see complaining about the econemy drive foreign cars.

  • @superhawkn buy a ford buy the best, drive a mile walk the rest. Lol

  • Jeeps are pulling monsters! Only embarrasing truck is ford ranger! Ford blows donky balls!

  • Titan couldent get traction,,,

  • thats... embarrasing fuckin gayass trunck

  • Titans are made in Mississippi, ignorant people

  • @HoytBowHunter20 Assembled in Mississipi, or made in Mississipi? Either way, they're owned foreign. Thats what makes the difference.

  • @azguitarist67 how does that make the difference i live right down the street from the plant and as far as i know if you are born/created here you/it are american

  • calm down people, its just a video of what appears to be a stock jeep and titan with a tow rope pulling against each other. why do people assume it means that one is better than the other?

  • the nissan doesnt have posi, the jeep did, if the nissna had posi, the nissan would have won

  • not really a fair fight... jeep is 4x4 likely with quadTrac engaged... titan is a 2wd and weight distribution is not the same as the jeep...as soon as you apply power to the rear end of the titan the back end the rear tires are going to be able easily over come the resistence of the tires with little weight over them... put about 200 pounds of weight in the back end and try again...

  • Last time I heard, there is a drift driver using the Titan powerplant ...you wish you can say that for any Jeep powerplant. I believe it was put into a 350z, was in a magazine not too long ago, maybe within last few years.

  • Bitch all you want. the Titan is junk like all Nissan

  • I mean thats just not even a fair pull. Put a 4x4 titan up against it. Even without the locking rear diff it would still pull that mopar shit around.

  • you can see right when the jeep went into 4 wheel drive

  • If that Titan was 4X4 it would tow that jeep across the town half throttle

  • Never got the "Jeep thing"...I mean unless its fun owning one of the worlds most unreliable vehicles. Oh and if you see my name, I own a Dodge, lol.....at least its a cherokee....wranglers are junk.

  • @Turbo05Dodge the inline 6 cyl. engines were some of the most reliable engines ever built....the v6's are crap compared to them.....I want to see a fair pull with that engine. Cherokees are actually very reliable, but to be fair, when they do fail it's somewhat difficult to work on them.

  • Too bad that titan was only 4x2. :P

that Jeep woudlnt even stand a chance against a Nissan Navarra 4x4 2.5 DOHC Crdi Turbocharged DIESEL. Fuckk off jeep fans LooL :)

  • OIIIIIIIO

  • Foreign trucks are for bitches

  • @whitetrash429 the 4x4 titan will out class most american trucks...just a fact.

  • @whitetrash429 poor people usually talk shit.

  • @jasongrim so hi you must be the bitch

  • @whitetrash429 Thats why tundras pull everyone else?

  • I bet my V8 WK with the QT2 tranny would pull yours around... haha

  • the person that bought the Titan should be kicked in the balls for making suck a stupid decision.

  • thankfully they dont sell rear wheel drive 'offroaders' in europe haha

  • fail on account of the orange crocs

  • Had the Titan been driving the front wheels where the weight is, it would have dragged the Jeep around town. No pickup can compete against a rear-heavy SUV. Put them both in 4WD...then hang on! It's all about weight. Nothing else.

  • Only in a jeep OIIIIIIIIIIO

  • YE JEEP.. AMERICAN POWER!

  • Can you say jeep?

  • open diff didnt sand a chance lol

  • Not fair my ass!!! That truck weighs more than that dinky jeep. That is a fullsize truck so quit trying to cover for shit that is shit

  • @FordHaten So the Titan weighs 500 lbs more than a jeep and that's supposed to make up for 1wd versus 4wd? Lol...

  • @ambientflier Well shouldnt have bought a piece of shit foreign truck...

  • @FordHaten What the hell does it have to do with it being foreign? You could pull the 2wd titan around with a subaru forester, too...

  • thats jeep for you

  • lol,lol

  • That's why you should buy a dodge... you could easily do 100 on cruise control with a jeep trying to pull you the other direction and all you would notice is a jeep chasing you in reverse!

  • having a 2wd truck you may as well roll around with a bear on hood of a geo. It's equally pointless and equally as idiotic as the consideration that a 4wd vehicle will have less traction than a 2wd.

  • Its not fair, unloaded truck vs an suv, the suv has more weight especially since the titan is 2 wheel drive, I am for american muscle, but at least keep it fair.

  • it's simple! the jeep has 4 doors! lol (sarcasm)

  • About like a company to build a TRUCK with an open differential.

  • jeeps pulling 1 tons biatches

  • Lol titian sux

  • @stephen4177 u suck bitch

  • AHAHAHAHA PUSSY TRUCK

  • 1WD FTW!!

  • All you babys crying about the titan loosing just stop the titan has like at least 1,000 lb more weight than the jeep.

  • 4wd would of changed the out come

  • This Just Shows Thats Titans Are NOT Real Trucks

  • yea thats a fair pull..should be 2wd titan with open diff against 4x4 jeep, jeep fans are stupid. id like to see that thing go against a 4x4 titan with locking diffs.

  • @bondc7 Nothing in the vid indicates the jeep is 4x4. SUV's do have more weight over the rear axle so who knows what could have happened. Put that 4x4 titan with locking diffs against an oshkosh, whats your point? This particular vid is about this particular titan against this particular jeep. Not trying to start shit, just trying to point out the pointlessness of saying what another vehicle or configuration would or would not have done.

  • @bondc7 both had been in RWD...you clearly see that, have fun driving your ricer truck, ifs and buts are for losers GTFO and have a nice day :D

  • @bondc7 I'm a Jeep Fan and I'm a smart guy. 3.3 gpa so your comment about Jeep fans being stupid, is obviously wrong. It is one Jeep Fan being biased that is all

  • @bondc7

    LMAO

If we are going all out, then let's use the 5.7L Hemi Jeep with Quadra Drive 2 and 376lbs/ft of torque... It would be fun watching that Jap garbage get towed up and down the street and weeping motor oil tears :)

  • @bondc7 you make sound like with lockd diff and 4x4, a jeep still wouldn't pull a little Japanese nissan. JEEP is Godzilla and your the little asian man in your nissan sayn OH NO TOKYO!!

  • @bondc7 U Mad?

  • @bondc7 There's absolutely no evidence that the jeep was AWD. Maybe if Nissan weren't a bunch of cheap bitches, that titan would have had a limited slip differential.

  • @bondc7 those jeeps dont come with lockers far as i know, both should be in 2wd correct though

  • Jeep rocks, I have a 96 cherokee and a 06 commander.....I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!

  • Look for the following video here on you tube

after u see it then judge.

Toyota Tundra vs Dodge Ram - who has the stronger truck!

  • truck has an open dif, Jeep does not =]

  • @wolf1010 simple fact that the JEEP is a 4wd also...

  • Ahhh! My Boo

  • If you look at the titans wheels, they are moves backwards..... Wouldn't that indicate he had traction? Which is the bonus from 4wd right?

  • Benefits of a locking rear differential.

    peg leggers suck.

  • 2wd vs 4wd/AWD!!its lke 2 legd man vs no legd man..

  • Put the Titan In 4x4 mode and pull that little Jeep all the way back to Detroit!

  • the jeep has the advantage of not being a pickup truck... trucks have oh so little traction <_<

  • Jeeps all the way even though this was a 2WD titan... so i mean idk it would have been close

  • lol jeep pwns

  • Chrysler Jeep and Dodge best leaders in the world

  • titan sucks. they have one transmission and one engine option and doesnt offer a single cab AND the engine is probably the weakest of all the pickup V8's. Fords 3.5l V6, yes V6, has 325 hp vs. a 5.6l V8 with 317 hp. SERVED.

  • @thestupidstopcom haha bro its not about horsepower, i drive an 06 pathfinder, 4.0 v6, i can keep up with the bug boys, ive raced numerous toyota tundras/tacomas with v8's, i raced my buddies ram 1500 with a 5.7 hemi, i have won these races, if i need to ill post videos on here and show you if you dont believe me, nissan makes a good solid motor, i love my pathfinder, wouldnt trade it for a raptor

  • @livingfastdyingfun Really though, I wouldn't trade anything for a raptor, they are squishy dude.

  • @gregww101 its called long travel, its supposed to be squishy or they couldnt run baja

  • @livingfastdyingfun Didn't mean it that way, meant the 5.4 is a weak excuse for a full size V8

  • @gregww101 oh hah i didint know wat you meant, sorry about that

  • @livingfastdyingfun Haha no worries, I agree though with the v6 thing you said. I have a 97 Jeep ZJ with the straight six....More thsn enough guts for most things.

  • @gregww101 straight 6's are little beasts haha my buddies got one in his truck and its quick

  • @thestupidstopcom Pickup trucks don't need horsepower as much as they need torque. Same goes for all heavy duty vehicles. It's torque that is required to overcome the inertia of heavy loads they might be pulling. It all comes down to how they tune the motor. Example: Chevrolet's 350 small block can vary from 145-370HP or more.

  • diddent they test that on mythbusters! to the second highest rated comment. that you cant cut someone in half it would just whip the shit out of you.. but still dumb video v6 and v8 dosent do anything

  • ofc the jeep would have won jeeps r 4 wheel drive all the time

  • @dgkforlife56 untrue.... i own a 2001 4x4 jeep, set in 2wd all summer long

  • that was retarded...if the titan was 4x4 it woulda pulled. it didnt even have lockers. only one wheel spun

  • Tug-of-wars are a joke. They don't test which vehicle has the most power...they test which one has the best traction.

  • No SUV should be 2WD anyway. it defeats the purpose of a Sport Utility Vehicle.

  • I love jeeps and hate titans..... but even I have to say 2wd vs 4wd is no match.I would love to see the jeep try it in 2wd. Though under powered compared to the titan it still has more weight over the tires and a "tug of war" is more about traction then power. It would be fun to watch!

  • @jcaled24 also considering i didnt see the titans traction control active.

  • nissan sucks haha

  • its only 16 sec the where they wanted the jeep to look good if the whole vid was hear the titan one

  • Can you not read?

Look at my last post where they have a record of it cutting legs off.

  • Authors: George Prentice; Andrew Miles; ASSN. OF SCIENTISTS AND ENGINEERS OF THE NAVAL SEA SYSTEMS COMMAND WASHINGTON DC

" it will snap back in the direction of pull.- Synthetic fiber rope snaps back at about 700 feet/sec; wire rope at about 450 feet/sec. Therefore, both ropes are deadly to anyone standing near them when a failure occurs. In the early 1980's several synthetic fiber ropes did fail. In one nine month period three sailors were killed and four had one or both legs cut off.

  • @MrYoubrian Im not saying the end that breaks wont be traveling at a high rate of speed you fucking tard. The point is that the mass at the end is very minimal. In other words its not going to do any damage. It will be less severe then getting 'popped' by a wet towel. Get a clue.

  • I think to the rest of us outside North America this is the Nissan navara, and it comes with a Diesel option too.

  • GO JEEP BABY GOOOOOO!!!! JAP TRUCK IS A PIECE

  • Love how the title says "v6 jeep pulling v8 nissan titan" rather than "4wd jeep pulling 2wd nissan titan". I think the latter would be more appropriate. Now you should make a video with a Unimog 406 pulling against a Ram srt/10, and you could title it "80 hp unimog pulling 510 hp Dodge ram"!

  • @cdm121880

    Yeah me too....

  • @cdm121880 What makes you so sure that the jeep is 4x4, not all jeeps come in 4x4, a lot of them are 2x4. Just saying. I'm more of an ford, an cheve guy anyway. Dodge does have power, but the Eng.. lasts longer then the truck. If they spent more time making all the other stuff good with the Engine they have, i would like them a lot more.

  • @Wolfsforever its definately a 4x4

  • @cdm121880 you dont even see the front wheels on the titan, there is'nt any way to tell if it is or aint 4x4

  • @santanoreal1096 You can see the pass. rear tire go up in smoke.... no smoke from the front end at all, the truck rakes badly... just like a 2wd, no "4x4" badge on the rear bed-side. If you honestly think this is a 4x4 Titan, I have nothing more to say. Pretty obvious there, bub.

  • @cdm121880 yup 4x4 titans do have a 4x4 badge on the rear bed side, i know because my cousin has a 4x4 titan

  • @cdm121880 4x4 or not, nissan is underpowered if it can only get one tie to spin. lol

  • @santanoreal1096 Underpowered? You have obviously never driven a Titan. Upon it's release in '04 the Titan ruled the roost in the engine category as it had the most powerful standard V8 of any other half ton in the world! You smoked your dinner. The 4x4 Titans are available with a push button locking rear diff., you know, in case you want to get more than one "tie" to spin, as you put it. .................... Underpowered, pfff!

  • Comment removed

  • @cdm121880 upon its release in 04??? dude its 2011!! things change bub.any decent v8 had better put up a better fight than that. and what are you talking about ''i smoke dinner''? i eat dinner jjust like any other person.

  • @santanoreal1096 I know what year it is.... the power level of the 5.6 liter in the Titan has increased just like any other truck, my point is, it's hard to call it underpowered when it held that title (at all) and did so for a pretty good spell, only recently being overtaken by a some of the new mills from competitors. You did smoke your dinner, because a person would have to be high to say that about the Titan. You can say some bad things about it that may hold water, that's not one of them.

  • @cdm121880 ok whatever, its ur point of view,im done.have a nice day

  • @cdm121880 I use to sell Chevy products back when the Titan came out. The Titan was best in class for horsepower, the Silverado was best in class in fuel economy, and the F150 was best in class in towing capacity. Out of all half tons the Silverado had the cheapest sticker price. Just a little FYI.

  • @MikeYoungJr99 You got it.... but you forgot the Tundra had best in class resale value. Lol. I sold cars at a dealership that featured Honda/ Toyota/ Scion/ Nissan when the Titan came out, so, you could say I sold Titans when the Titan came out. Didn't sell cars long (less than 2 yrs), but I learned a lot from the business. I sure loved the Tundra, but when the Titan came out... the power blew my mind!

  • @cdm121880 The one thing I did like about all the car manufacturers is that each truck had something specific that set them apart from the others. Titan was horsepower and performance, if you wanted resale value like you said it was the Tundra, most features standard for price and also fuel economy went to the Chevy, pulling power was the Ford, and if you were looking for a bold and aggressive look it was the Dodge. The one I can't figure out was Honda's truck. Didn't resemble a truck.

  • @MikeYoungJr99 I was fortunate enough to go to the Ridgeline product launch in St. Louis, MO since I was Honda certified. They told us there may be some confusion on comparisons, since it was called a truck. Think Subaru Outback Baja or Explorer Sport-trac, an SUV with a small pickup bed. Their only mistake was calling it a truck. Typical Honda/ Acura quality, you feel like you're driving inside a bank vault, and the driveline shared with the Pilot (fwd with rear engaging only after front spin).

  • @cdm121880 That explains a lot then. I thought they threw the Ridgeline in the same class as the half tons because of them calling it a truck.

  • @MikeYoungJr99 More of a 1/4 ton. If you get a chance to drive one, do so. They are pretty cool: lockable and waterproof trunk in the floor of the bed, the tailgate folds down or outward like a door (depending on which grab handle you use), and a very solid, quiet drive. They built the R.L. for the large quantity of truck owners who don't really need a truck, rather, an SUV capable of hauling stuff. Not much tow capacity or utility, though. I chose a Titan because a R.L. won't tow my 'Yota, lol.

  • @cdm121880 I'm one of those that has to have a truck. I am a racecar driver and I buy junk cars, fix them up, and sell them for profit. Nine times out of ten junk cars don't run so they have to be towed.

  • @cdm121880 no it didn't because rams had more power..gm's 5.3 had more power, gms 6.0 had more power, tundras had much more power when they came out ..maybe the titans had "most standard horsepower" because it only came with one motor..all of the other trucks had V6s on their base models..titan hoad nowhere near most horsepower in it's class

  • @friesngravy my bad, you said standard V8..but that V8 was the only engine for it..all of it's competition had more powerful offerings for competitive pricing..so the titans were no more than mid pack amongst the 1/2 tonne trucks in 04

  • @friesngravy That's exactly what I said. The standard Titan 5.6 V8 - 305 h.p., GM 4.8 V8 - 285 h.p., Ram 4.7 V8 - 235h.p.! You are also wrong about GM's 5.3 and 6.0 engines making 295 and 300 h.p., respectively. That means the GM 3/4 ton's standard V8 made less power than the 1/2 ton Titan. The Tundra..... seriously? The only V8 here is the i-force 4.7 that made a blistering 240 h.p.! It lived in the Titans shadow in that department until just a few years ago, ( i-force 5.7). COMON MAN!!!

  • @friesngravy I love the Tundra, always have. However, this was it's Achilles heel. Anyone with a pulse who was concerned with power and/ or tow capacity always picked the Titan over the Tundra at our dealership, the difference was night and day. Not too sure why everyone seems to hate the Titan so much, it's a good truck. Oh.... it's the whole "Japanese" thing, huh? I guess it will take a while before it is able to establish itself like Toyota has, then it'll be OK for people to like it!

  • @cdm121880 i didn't say it was a bad truck, i said it didn't have the available power for a given price that ANY of it's competition had..it still doesn't..The 5.6 is still only rated at about 320 hp...everyone else has around 400 available. As for the whole japanese thing, i don't think it's that for everyone since those people would not like the tundra either.it's a matter of, it needs more power because nissan is just as established as toyota is.

  • @cdm121880 also, the tundra and most of nissans competition have available class v hitches, and 10 000+ lbs towing capacity and the titan is good for a max of 9500 lbs with a class IV hitch..so not too sure why they'd pick the titan for towing either..I am assuming you work in a nissan dealership? maybe they had their hearts set on the titan and that's why they bought it? Not saying it's a bad truck, just stating some facts. It's not class leading.
