I listened to the beginning and stopped when he said رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي

يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي

He read Qaaf with a kaaf. حْ with ةً . He needs to learn to recite Qur'an properly before he does anything else.

Another thing is he always says if it is not in Qur'an we don't believe it. What he doesnt know is according to usool of Fiqh, you look for answer in Quran, if not clear answer go to Sunnah/Hadeeth. If not there then sahabh.

Changing the articulation point of a letter leads to either an invalid word or another word that has different meaning. In both cases, it changes the word of Qur'an.

Yafqaho = Meaningful word. ----> Changing Qaf to kaf ---> Yafkahoo = Non Meaningful word.

I would an person to be giving Fatwas to know how to recite Qur'an correctly.

Qur'an was revealed in Arabic but is not exclusive to Arabs. Allah S.W.T says in Sura Yousuf:

إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ

Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand. Surely Allah S.W.T is not addressing to Arabs only here...is HE?

More over Allah S.W.T says: هُوَ الَّذِي بَعَثَ فِي الْأُمِّيِّينَ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِهِ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ

It is He who has sent among the unlettered a Messenger from themselves reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom -

So the sequence is ordered by Allah S.W.T in this. First to recite..and to recite you must learn how to recite...that results in purification.

Then comes the step of learning the book then the wisdom which Ulema have described to HAdeeth of S.A.W. Zakir Naikj seems to take the short cut and jump directly to last two skipping the first 2 :-)

@Qaloon1 ok my friend, look. Dr Zakirs Mother tounge is Urdu. ANd thats a total different language than arabic. Different pronounciations, different letters and so on. Would you pick on a chinese man, who is a cook, who does an excellent dinner with fried-rice, and than say that he is stupid and should pronounce fried rice properly before cooking? Naik didn't even know what the differences are between Sunnis and Shias, so he dodged the question and says the words are not mentioned in Quran. He fails to realize the scholars said you should distinguish yourselves from those who innovate, hence we are to call ourselves Sunnis.
