I have been toying with that idea as well. I have also been thinking if this can be turned into a dry cell, it might be easier to make work if the cell is inverted like a volcano, and like you said, put a hole or series of holes for vents and to let water in. My only concern is, I do not know how well rubber o-rings hold up in electrolyte. I would assume Nitrile might be better
Have you thought about a drycell version, I worked with the wet cup cells like yours 7 months ago but lost my shop. Have to do all the work around my car now. Add some orings and Port a hole all the way through. Would reduce the leakage current significantly. Or eliminat it by porting the exit and fill through the oring seal. What do you think about this?
