  • so cute

  • I wanna pet him....

  • Sounds like a machine gun halfway in lol

  • its not purring its revving its engine

  • thats cute yet very annoying! after a while

  • @Smoky688 lol I can't sleep unless my cats purr next to me :D

  • cougars are just beautiful<3

  • Aww What A Sweet Heart !!

  • Aww cute...but they grow...o.0

  • aww cute =)

  • The sound of any cat purring is enough to make my really relaxed. Also, I'm an Aries, so I thought this was also pretty cool.

  • i wanna hug him!

    but.... i'd get mauled :(

  • happy cat the gose to omg run

  • 0:36 sounds like helicopter xDDD

  • lions purr too

  • @Melpheos1er no they don't, they roar.

  • hmm, the purr sounds awfully like a helicopter to me

    still, it's cute either way.

  • They're probably purring to show their thankfulness for taking them in and taking such good care of them.

  • Goddamn hunters.

  • Absolutely adorable!

  • Beautiful eyes.

  • Sounds like an engine

  • It sounds like a helicopter...:D

  • All cats can purr....

  • I have two domestics, 1 constantly purrs the other I can honestly say I have never heard her purr. I raised an orphaned lynx who could nearly break glass with her purring. But they all could snore up a storm. And I loved every minute of it.

  • @iTurned3 then eat you :P

  • A cat's purr = the most wonderful sound

  • @Whatsername1389able You took the words right out of my mouth. It always makes you feel like you've accomplished something.

  • fuck that hunter!

  • @wefadetogray yes! with a burning cacktus!

  • @mkocja5a amen

  • whose idea was it to name them after greek gods?

  • great, but you should listen to that cougar i got in bed last week, she made far more impressive noises

  • @nit626 You shouldn't sleep with your mom dude.

  • You say that cougars are the largest cat that can still purr, but cheetahs are bigger than cougars. Check out purring dot org for evidence.

  • @facetiousCA Cougars can reach heavier weights than cheetahs so we class them as the largest cat that can purr

  • @BigCatRescue it has been proven that lions and tigers can purr but only while exhaling.

  • @facetiousCA longer and taller, but not heavier. that's why bengal tigers are condifered larger then lions and jaguars larger then leopards.

  • Oh my! What a fabulous purr!

  • Damnit! Not enough LIKE buttons! AHHHH!

  • What is that drrrrr drrrr prrrr prrrrr noise?

  • Look at those big gorgeous eyes :3

  • 0:44 that's a cute/great picture of a cute cub and boy do i like it.

  • Its so cute it can tear your FACE OFF :))

  • i got my wolf at 6 weeks. he was pretty scary to most people, but i think he considered me as a parent figure. just a guess, but i think that the way you bring them up has alot to do with their outcome. let them know that freedom is theirs.

  • OMG it's soo much like my cat! he rolls on his back and purr!!! it's my kitty.. in way bigger and wilder XD

  • Such a beautiful animal! :D

  • Damn hunters! what's next? hunt children?

  • Awww, he's adorable! He sounds like a helicopter. :)

  • i wana pet it

  • So ridiculously cute!

  • Death to hunters. I have hunters in my family too. Fuck'em. It's for pure sport and ego.

  • @Ronniewants2die i totally agree. it's one thing to hunt and eat the meat, but quite another to kill an animal just for the hell of it. 'population control' my ass.

  • sounds kinda like a helicopter, only less loud...

  • well they are still cats, only bigger and dangerous and louder

  • i was so hypnotized by this cat that i pet the cat with my mouse for my computer LOL

  • @CheckPleez480 I was petting the screen with my finger LOL

  • @rphheather LOL thats an even better idea.

  • I realize you said no contact but what if it's been proven that the certian cat (Example: a 5 month old cheetah, for example) was harmless. Or if they're newborn/ very young?

  • i wonder if that bobcat is happy

  • it's diesel powered!

  • Ya know with a face like that its a bit hard to remember that's a 150lb pound killer purring at you. Still a gorgeous animal though.

  • I'd risk it, and go in with the cat. Getting into a car every day is a risk, and it's not nearly as rewarding. We all have to die someway, none of them are that pleasant. At least do it for something enjoyable.

Also, I'd bring in a wickedly strong shock gun in case the cat did go crazy. One shock and it's going to run, if you can do it in time. At least you'd have a chance.

  • Just wait until you are jogging or biking on a road somewhere and are attacked by one of these "cats" and then tell me how sympathetic you are and how much you want to save them.

  • more than hum, seems motor or drill ...

  • sounds like the freakin predator

  • sounds like a helicopter

  • something wrong with the heart....

  • awwww i wanna snuggle with the perdy tiger

  • Awwe.. Aries just needs a cuddle.

  • Every time I see this video, I make this face: :3

  • Why is it that every time I go on youtube, I eventually end up at some cute cat video?

  • I wouldn't mind sitting close to the fence to here that purr :)

  • D'awwww <3

  • What a great sound :)

  • I hope there is place in hell for the hunter who orphaned those cute kitteh!

  • I didn't know cougars can purr .Maybe I should go to a different bar.

  • Awwww! If I wasn't scared he'd eat me, I'd so love to rub his tummy! XD

  • precisely as house cat

  • second one sounds like a helicopter

  • I donated to you and I think you are wonderful people, hunters are the ones who deserve to be shot

  • Now we know where they get the MW3 assault rifle sound effects.

  • Happy kitty. ^_^

  • Why was he purring? Are the caregivers allowed to snuggle the cats?

  • @halfacat4545 No we don't have any contact with our cats, it's simply too dangerous, but we still create a bond with them and many of them purr when we go to say hello etc.. :)

  • @IndignantSkeptic Well we like our limbs and if a cat were to attack and/or kill a keeper that would be a death sentence for the cat.

  • @BigCatRescue i suppose it's not too bad to deny them contact if you will be keeping them only a short time before you release them to the wild.

  • @IndignantSkeptic Captive bred cats are very rarely released into the wild, our cats are not candidates for release because of their poor genetics, they are rescued from backyards and basements, they are older cats, associate people with food, are not scared of people and do not have hunting skills needed to survive.

  • @BigCatRescue why do you think they have poor genetics? isn't animal behaviour very largely instinctive so that they don't really have to learn much? if you don't release them then you should enable a way for them to get affection from somewhere otherwise that's really sad. i've seen plenty of videos on youtube of wild species of animals being very affectionate with humans.

  • Comment removed

  • @BigCatRescue ima kill who ever hurt them

  • @BigCatRescue im no expert but i read somewhere that lions can purr but its only in the exhale. i may be wrong though.*shrug* :)

  • @BigCatRescue i'm just saying if you don't want to be affectionate with the cats then at least put them with one another so they can give one another affection. i think when cats purr it doesn't mean they are happy; it means they want affection.

  • @IndignantSkeptic HAHAHAHAHA

  • @Alaznel and what is your problem?

  • @IndignantSkeptic cus your an indignantidiot.

  • @IndignantSkeptic actually cats purr when they're excited/content/sleepy and even scared or hurt, so no one's to say its because they want affection. the point BCR is trying to make is that even though they look big and cuddly, if for any reason a cat were to hurt someone, even if they're just being playful and its an accident, the animals can cause serious damage. if the cat were to hurt/kill someone, the cat would legally have to be put down. the desire isnt worth the life of the cat or keeper

  • @OnlySuzyV putting them down for injuring someone by accident is a stupid rule. it's a disgrace. and if i was the cat i'd probably rather be dead than to live without affection. and the rule doesn't apply to cat on cat so put the cats together with each other so they can get affection from each other. living with no affection is cruelty.

  • @IndignantSkeptic wild cats, regardless of size, are solitary animals, meaning they don't strive for affection. regardless, BCR DOES put cats together, hence why the pumas are together, the lion is room mate to a white tiger, and so on. the only animals that are put by themselves are cats that naturally thrive on their own, or don't get along with any of the other cats, either way they're well stimulated with smells and treats and in no way neglected. they're not house cats, they don't need us.

  • @OnlySuzyV well it's nice to know that some cats are put together with each other and that there is no stupid rule preventing that because BCR might be afraid they could injure one another.

  • @IndignantSkeptic the cats can handle one another, but humans aren't nearly as capable of taking a hit from a big cat. its all just safety standards for the volunteers and keepers, its nothing against the cats. just like patients in a hospital go into quarantine not because no one likes them, just because they pose a risk to healthy patients. =)

  • @IndignantSkeptic weve bred the domestic cats to like us and depend on us for survival. these cats are self sufficient and dont give a crap about humans. anything they find "hostile", including people, they will gut

  • @eggheadnin not even domesticated cats give a crap about humans lol

  • @Jonathanfroglegs11 true theyre not mindless drones like dogs (no offense) and are fairly independent but most feral cats depend on HUMAN resources for food, shelter and water. all these are more accessible in the city than in the wild environment around it. how often do you hear about feral cats in the forest?

  • @eggheadnin good god I wasn't trying to start a youtube debate no need to all caps "HUMAN"..... but jsut to let you know feral cats do often live without human resources. Pretty interesting, they become insectavors and catch birds and small rodents. There was an instance where cats were released on an island to kill either rats or snakes I forget, and they ended up causing the extinction of a spieces of wren.

  • @Jonathanfroglegs11 i dont want a flame war either, but lets agree that domestic cats are resilient creatures with or without humans around. they are pretty remarkable

  • @eggheadnin I wouldn't call them remarkable... they are worse at fending for themselves than any other wild animal, and have gained nothing but passivness rather than fear towards humans from their domestication.

  • @eggheadnin feral dogs are more common and dangerous than feral cats, and many countries actually have populations of feral dogs that they have to kill because they start hunting like wolves, only they look like dogs, which makes them even more dangerous. clearly youre a cat person, which is fine, but i don't understand why you're getting your panties in a knot about this O_o

  • @BigCatRescue why should that be a death sentence for the cat? it's not their fucking fault.

  • @IndignantSkeptic LOL... you're a moron... how about you go snuggle with a several hundred pound cat that has razer sharp claws. My kitten already tears up my arm and she doesn't even way 1 pound yet, pretty sure this feline would take your arm off in one swift swipe. Go you BigCatRescue for taking care of these beauties

  • @halfacat4545 I think the purring was to lure them in so Aries could have a snack... :)

  • AW I WANNA HUG IT! >W<

  • Beautiful cougar with a gorgeous name too, and he was so cute as a cub!

Also, are they like the domestic cats where they purr when happy too? If so, that is one happy kitty, haha!

  • @Vakarianify Yes, big cats purr for the same reasons has your domestic cat does :)

  • @BigCatRescue

Ah, I figured so. Thanks for the response! :D

  • @BigCatRescue

Ah, I figured so. Thanks for the response! :D

  • @Vakarianify

actualy purring doesn't necessarily mean the cat is happy, the reason cat's purr is not explained. Some think it speeds up the healing process.

  • Wow, he is one handsome cougar. He is so cute, but with a name like Aries, I am sure he can eff some peeps up.

  • Jesus not only do Huntards plague WoW but real life as well... srsly get a real job dickheads and actually work for your gear/money...

  • @0:38 I love how surprised they look XD

  • sounds like a cheetah :3

  • so why can't lion and tigers and other bigger cats purr? are they incapable? and why?

  • @Saxwen1 Lions, tigers, leopards and jaguars cannot purr but they can roar. The bone in the back of their throat is solid so when they force air through it they make roaring noises etc... but in the lesser cats this is flexible which allows them to purr :)

  • @BigCatRescue :o really? I heard or read somewhere that it was more of a learned behavior they pick up from being around humans.. XD although since humans dont purr, your reason makes a lot more sense, lol

  • if you read the story it is sad i wish i could have been there for the mom beacuse she was shot by a DRUKIN BASTARD

  • My cats don't purr :(

  • Haha at one point the purring sounds like a chopper. Uber cute!

  • Aries: I wanna play with the camera!

  • what happened to their mom ? Was she found dead , did she fall from the tree ?

  • sounds like a helicopter

  • I hate hunters.

  • Is it true that cougars are the second fastest cat after the cheeta?

  • Aww it's motor

  • They sound like gun shots in the distance at some points in the vid lol

  • That's not purring, that's the breath of death!

  • Beautiful animal, I have always loved cats and if I had the resources, I'd have a big cat.

  • sounds like a small jackhammer

  • Can you really get this on a ringtone?

  • SO SUß!Ich liebe dass Katze!

  • cute

  • shoot their parents n put em in jail yarr humanity

  • AK 47

  • Are Cougars Friendly Domestic Large Cats when humans are not hunting them and wiping out their population ?

  • Why are the names of two constellations and a greek goddess?

  • @GloriaIsAwesome We liked them :)

  • @BigCatRescue Haha was Aries born during Maarch 21st to April 20th ? :P

  • @GloriaIsAwesome Aries is the God of War. His mother was Hera.

Orion was a Giant, he was very handsome, his father was Poseidon.

and he was Artemis' BF. Artemis was the the daughter of Leto and Zeus,Apollo's twin and was the goddess of the wilderness, the hunt and wild animals, and fertility. She loved Orion but was tricked into killing him by her brother Apollo, who was "protective" of his sister's virginity.

The constellations were named after the gods, warriors and heroes and heroines.

  • @etonks: It's not Aries, but Ares. Aries is The Ram, but the legend for it varies.

  • @SakiAiza Oops! Sorry about that! "Aries" & "Ares" are considered acceptable spellings of the Greek god of war,but he & the ram have no affiliation. Which makes it difficult to know which one someone is referring to! "Aries" the ram had the golden fleece the Jason & the Argonauts were after. The ram was sent by Zeus to save the lives of 2 children who were to be sacrificed. The Ram was late & only saved 1, Phrixus. His sister Helle died. The ram was sacrificed to Zeus. Everyone was happy...

  • @SakiAiza Except, of course Helle, cause she died. LOL

The fleece was given to King Aeetes who had the fleece placed in a sacred copse, guarded by a fearsome dragon which never slept. Then Jason swiped it and much later Ray Harryhausen got to make some stop motion skeleton soldiers for the movie!! Which was AWESOME!!

  • @etonks: True. :3

  • would've been much better if every viewing was NOT preceded by partisan political videos. I'm just here for the animals

  • would've been much better if every viewing was preceded by partisan political videos. I'm just here for the animals

  • While I was watching this my 9 week old kitten woke up and came over to me thinking I'd learnt to purr.

  • @TheColdkitten So did two of my cats...LOL!

  • @christianne72 How funny is that!

  • It's like I hear it purring and I wanna pet it. Then I realize what kind of cat it is and that it's not such a good idea XD

  • Beautiful ancient Greek names :)))

  • the CUTEST Purring Cougar is actually u're mom lol

  • Why would anyone want to "hunt" a beautiful animal like this?

  • @ArtemisFour for the pelt, for the sheer sake of saying"yah i shot this great big beautiful beast way back when, with a such and such rifle and this sort of bullet, after tracking it for so many days in my comfortable vehicle, cuz i have the money to do so." people come up with stupid reasons at the drop of a hat for depriving the world of these animals, without having even the balls to at least make it a fair fight.

  • I would love to have one of those living with me!!

  • If I were hunting, I would not shoot a cougar, unless it were necessary to save a human life. Since I live in Ontario, it is extremely doubtful that I will ever be in such a situation.

  • D"AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • Why is it that lions cannot purr, as well as other big cats while some can?

Not to be a bother, I'm very curious on this ^^, since I have always loved all Felines, no matter how big or small.
