@raj1944: Nope TN Panels are the cheapest in market but the viewing angels are horrible if you are not sitting in front of the monitor the picture will degrade quickly due to improper angles the picture quality might become suddenly dark..... In LCD TV's the problem is there but not that much again in latest LCD TV's many are using the IPS panel thus we do not have this problem....... but IPS panels are expensive....... I am actually making a video on the same and will release in a day or two.
I'm planning to buy LG E2360V LED Monitor - Rs.9850 + Tatasky HD box (Connected HDMI to HDMI). Do i have to buy a separate TV Tuner card for this or the HD box itself is enough to make it work? I'm gonna exclusively use it for watching TV & no PC connectivity. This way its not only cheap (than LED TV) but also i get a 3 yrs warranty on the monitor. Please suggest on my stupid idea?
@raj1944: It should work directly with the TATA SKY HD you do not need any convertors as you can directly use the HDMI input and connect it to the monitor..... but be sure about limited viewing angles as it is a TN panel..... but again with a limited budget it is a good idea.

@MrLoooooooo : Currently we only have 2 proper HD channels Nat Geo HD and Discovery HD, we also have 2 other HD one is a Start TV HD (its not true HD just upscaled) and Showcase HD (movies via pay) we also get HD when a major sporting event are going and they are telecasted LIVE in HD, also heard that ESPN HD is also going to start in a a couple of weeks.

@raj1944: Yep sure you might need to purchase a small Y stereo headphone o AV cable you can get that for under Rs 50 in any local electronic store.
