My dear father from Newry used to sing this song a lot - this and Danny Boy. Sad but lovely old songs that will last forever. Thankyou for this Maureen I'm starting to follow all your numbers now and I always keep a packet of tissues handy to wipe my eyes. Bless you XXX
Wo this is good very good i came accross this video by accident. The voice is something you'd hear in a church playing at a funeral as the coffin's being lead away i mean that in a good way. A very old movie feel to her voice something you don't get very often these days. 5 stars a coming!
I can't understand why I have never heard about you before but we are very backward here in South Africa. I came across your music quite by chance on YouTube and I am entranced. I intend listening to the whole lot. Thank you
Maureen, you have just brought me to tears,my nana, a mcpartlan from county leitrim used to sing his all the time, I remember her starting to sing as she walked into the scullery and when she came back we would be singing the same words, god I miss her, a real IRISH LADY.
hello maureendery lovely music ,i was just watching a movie ,irish eyes are smiling a biopic about earnest ball, went i went searching on youtube i found your music lovely thank you
Lovely old song and so well sung with a lovely voice behind it. Ireland is such a different place now...... So well done........................... Thank you !
I have heard many versions of this lovely song but yours, Maureen, is up there with the best of them. Really gorgeous voice and sung with such feeling. Thank you.
Thank you, Maureen, for these beautiful songs. The photos are also precious. Although I have never been in Ireland, I hope one day I would be able to visit that amazing country. Regards from the Basque Country!
Beautifully rendered! You have such a clear, sweet voice and wonderful diction too. And the accompanying music does not overpower the sentiment of the song. Thank you for sharing on YOU TUBE.
Beautifully sung,beautiful voice.
