  • That's nice, but the minimum altitude for jumping out of a blackhawk or ch47 is 1500 ft agl unless you are traveling 90 knots or greater, then you can drop to 1250 agl.

  • 1500 ft? nice, i jump 800 full combat! 82nd baby!!!

  • hella tight this is wat i wanna do

  • goddamn i couldnt get airborne in my contract i guess ill be missing out on this ! ; /

  • 506th Easy company.

  • thats fucking nuts man, im all for a jump out of a C130 but i never saw a blackhawk jump. cool as hell. earn them wings

  • getting into the 101st is hard to do though, if your airborne their going to want you in a airborne unit, most likely the 82nd but if your lucky youmay go to italy.

  • @aild1123 Its not hard. When you sign up you can pick your MOS and duty station. Pick Campbell and if your infantry by default your going to be in the 101st.

  • @csbob2010 What would the chance be of you getting that particular duty station? Is it backed up and you have to wait? or are they taking anyone who wants it?

  • id be so scared! :OO

  • @SoundMaker76 It can be. In plane jumps, I've seen people freeze at the door. They put their hands on both sides of the jump door because they panicked. The jump master pulled their hands out of the way and literally booted them out. You can be brought up on criminal charges if you refuse to jump.

  • Every Division in the US Army has Airborne Elements. The LRS-D (Long Range Surveillance Detachments) are small units within the Military Intelligence Battlations that are led by Ranger Qualified leaders and all personal air Airborne qualified and they actually are air inserted to do their mission. They are all infantry guys in an MI unit. Every division has a LRS. The 25th actually has an entire Brigade that is Airborne, the 4th BDE.

  • Do you know my brother last name Labounty 101st Rakkason he stationed there now

  • I thought the 101st was just Air Assault now and not Airborne

  • We currently do both.

  • but y'all are PRIMARILY an Air Assault unit now correct?

  • @mstrick Hey I want to do both airborne and Airassualt would that give me a better chance of being put into the 101st? I am just alittle confused.

  • @nickya2 , It might give you a better chance of getting put into the 101st, but you don't have to complete those before getting to 101. You can complete them after you get here. Requesting 101 (on preferences or submit paperwork), is your best bet.

  • @mstrick Hey i got a question in the Netherlands we somthing called the Luchtmobiele Brigade and next to their name stands Air Assault, so can compare the Luchtmobiele Brigade to the Airborne??

  • @mstrick

Awesome, I am considering to switch to the Army to become a Paratrooper. I like the 101st, I did not know they do both air assault and parachuting.

  • @MurfDawgSC You are correct. The 101st is air mobile/ air assault

  • c'mon.....the "puking chickens" of the

101st aren't even truly airborne anymore. these dopes on ropes are freakin' air assault...lol

btw...i spent two years at bragg in the eight-deuce and even made the panama jump in dec.1989.

  • was that in a blackhawk?

  • Yes, it was a Blackhawk, Fort Campbell, KY.

  • I c. Are you in the video/have you been though this training? If so you wanna give me any advice at all on anything in military life so i don't get screwed over?
