My only advice is to work on the higher notes, making them notr as raspy. I'd know about that, when i first started on the Violin I was the same way. just do sme finger exercises and make sure the pad of your finger is coevring the whole string section, and not touching another one! Great job!

You CAN play a violin by moving your hand. Well, technically he's moving his wrist as well, but that's beside the point.

When you're in a full blown orchestra with other violinists, you CAN'T move your arms and shoulders. If you even play the violin, you would know that.

I play in an orchestra and there is no way you only play with the hand

if you're in an orchestra you should fully know that the brass almost always covers the strings so the strings have to play out more

No I am not smoking. I also play in an orchestra. But for us, we don't NEED to move our arms and shoulders (depends usually on the type of notes). It is mostly the wrist movements that allow us to play a note longer with the bow rather than trying to strain our shoulders or arms on the violin.

You won't be able to project a rich noise just by using your wrist

and if you strain your shoulders playing then you're doing something wrong

Once again, in a full orchestra there are brass, winds, percussion, wood, and strings and most of the time the strings are overwhelmed by brass and winds so they need to play out more of all you will hear is brass.

Listen to some orchestras when you play, most of the players usually use full bows so they are not so overwhelmed.
