How come whenever I give a boy an item, and then the next day, I forget to give him something. And then the day after that, I talk to him again, his love points go all the way back down to 0?

It happened before, I got a boy all the way to blue heart, then there was a storm the next day, so the day after that, when I went to visit the boy, he went all the way down to 0 LP again?
