  • Cheeses!! Imagine the petrol consumption if working continually under load! But that wouldn't have been an issue for the air force during war time and I guess the gasoline engine would be easier to service than the diesels of the day. Thank you for an interesting piece of history and I'm sorry you had to let it go!

  • @conan6868 During WWII these were known as M2 high speed tractors. They were used on the airfields to move around the bombers and supplies. They were also used to clear the runways of wreckage. It has a top speed of 22mph. This particular tractor has been modified with the push plate and huge winch for use in moving industrial machinery.
