And did you play the piano yourself? Please ALWAYS credit your collaborator at the piano. They are just as important to realizing the composer's intent. Thank you.
Well Marion (thecelticspirit) isn't a hardcore musician like us so... :) But she is a big fan of DiDonato's! It is far from crossover, even if crossover is a rather large umbrella of music. It's a 20th century classical art song by Leonard Berstein, so it is still very much within the Western classical music heading as a sort of post-Romantic lied. Music technicalities aside, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
It's really great, especially the final note! I'm not sure if you can consider it crossover though. It's still an "art song", so it doesn't really go under the "pop" or "jazz" category...but it really is amazing when she sings something beyond Handel and Mozart so well!

@WayneHinton Sorry, I don't know who it is but I will try to find out. If I did, I would have posted it. I am a pianist myself, after all. :)

Hum, for me, cross-over is everything that is not stricly "operatic". Maybe it's not the proper definition, but anyway ^^

Scandalous! :O

Oh, please ^^ I'm not comparing pop to Bernstein either, but still, it's different from what she sings in an opera.
