I'm going to NY Comic Con in October, but it's just not the same T~T

I think once I get my L wig I'll get my friends to get in their cosplay and we'll walk around a public area as Death Note characters XD

At the conventions...it depends on how big the con is!

But it's usually 1000-5000 for a normal convention!

But they have huge ones where there is 20,000 people!!

Not everybody dressed up. There is alot of people who do. BUt you don't have to.

well, I don't really know about the hotel because I never stay in one but it will cost you about 70 dollars aprox.

I was at the anime expo and I was unable to use the internet. the next one is an anime convention and it is a small (kind of boring) one and it is going to be on January in one of the Marriott Hotels. the next anime expo (THE BIGGEST AND BEST ONE) is on July 2010 at Los Angeles Convention center.

How do you enter the competitions like this?.. so far as i'm aware there quite a few different ones, they all look really fun =D.. i'd love to try and enter one but i dunno how... any help would be great =D

ok, first of all you can go to the conventions and just enjoy their offerings!! and if you want to enter to a competition there are the masquerades, the video game tournaments, the karaoke contests, the chess game and many more.

to go to a convention just search on google when and where one is going to be and then you can buy the tickets online. if you can't buy online, then you could just go to the place and buy the tickets there. they'll give you a badge that will allow you to enter different rooms with different activities.

you don't have to sing up, but you have to buy a ticket. the ticket for all the 3 days is 50 dollars. one day I think it costs you 20 dollars. you can buy your ticket online (may cost you less money and you don't have to make a line to buy your ticket)

or you could buy your ticket at the gates the same day

lol i havent been to this crazy place in 5 years! XD LOL ill give you an idea though... its a multi-day event hosted at convention centers, hotels or college campuses, people go there to sale there new realeses of mangas and dvds and stuff like that.... you can cosplay to show off, you can show people your drawings to show off... its fun dude, if you love anime and your friendly i would really recomend a to go to a convention, its fun dude really, its just a place to chill and have fun ^_____^
