  • hmm u probablly stayed in highschool all ur life. finland was a training exersize

  • ehm bin reich aber einsam

  • very good video very educational cheers

i learnt more in 10 mins then i did in 2 weeks of history class

  • If you will recall, the Soviet armies were not in the greatest shape in the world at the time. Their humiliation at the hands of the Finnish pretty well established that they needed major reorganization and training to make up for the purges Stalin used. He only bought the excuse from Hitler in the hopes he could buy time.

  • jack frost beat hitlers ass

  • lol, wth is this red banner with golden star, low-price version of vietnamese flag?

  • When germany was dealing upp soldiers in divison and army groups the russian amry was just like PUSH FOR THE MOTHERLAND!!!

  • @Chamagurkafarmi impressive knowledge, Berlin was taken by general Winter and by mob with one rifle per 3, i assure you.

  • I heard that the Soviet general Pavlov, the commander of West Front was shot by Stalin in 1941. What kind of commander was Pavlov compared to Zhukov and Konev? Wasn't 1941 fiasco mostly Stalin's fault, not generals' incompetence?

  • Excluding the devastating proficiency of the German advance, yes it was essentially Stalin's fault.

  • @nicesinging1 haha, blaming Stalin for everything is adorable. i wonder whose fault was France fiasco, or anglo-french policy of setting Hitler against USSR was not a political fiasco.

was not Pavlov shot (by Stalin, lol) for failed preparations for the war that made german fast advance possible, and that lots of supplies and weapons were lost due to they were placed almost on the border. it is Stalins fault Pavlov didnt fulfil his orders, yea.

  • @nicesinging1 Of course, but if you're Stalin, you shoot Pavlov, not yourself! LOL

  • A meaningless statement. What criterias? Civilized according to who? And what has that to do with the United States denying them democracy in favour of easily controlled dictators? You're way out of your league at this point, move along.

  • Just to straighten a couple of things out. Stalin back off from heavy military interference fairly early on. He learned that he was out of his element, Hitler never figured that out. And for jto1916, any first year history student is familar with the American love of freedom and liberty...for itself and a few select allies. For the Phillipines, China, Panama, Iran, etc, etc, etc., America had quite a different view (dictators were more reliable). National self interest, all empires practiced it.

  • @milesalpha1 Yhe countries tou mention don't fill the criterias for civilized behaviour.

  • Doperwtje81 -- I share the view of Billions of people around the world.

  • One fascism exchanged with another ....

German fascism exchanged with USA fascism ... in 2000's ///

How this new W . WAR -III will play out ...

USA rot in Helll by the way.

  • @aviomaster

and you're an ass, by the way.

  • @aviomaster How can you even suggest such an ignorant statement. USA stands for freedom an liberty - that's not facism. Nazi Germany, Italy and Soviet Russia was facist. Read history and get educated.

  • @jto1916 ITS A FACIST COUNTRY usa support and created "the school of the americas" , for the training of the soldiers and officials who many of them make coups in latin america (thats why , we hate them) this dictators masacre a lot of people including teenagers ,workers , pregnant women and tooking his babies and hiding his identity , in my country thanks to the usa , the IMF give a lot of money to support the dictatorship

  • @zumbwanda Sir, I don't intend to argue with you as one can't talk in a sensible way with obviously brainwashed communists. By the way, I did not ask for your opinion. End of story.

  • @jto1916 there are no brainwashed communists nowadays, only liberal propaganda exists, make your conclusions of who is brainwashed if you can.

  • @jto1916 the macartism was used to terrify the population all the people against the dictatorship was acused to be communist , 30.000 people died thanks to the usa , cause in the S.O.A controlled by the CIA teach them how to torture and were adoctrinated in the right winged ideas , and they kill more people in the other nine countries and central america , i used to think like you , but in the WW2 they not fought for freedom cause the racist german society leaded by the aryan race

  • @jto1916 and his segregated society by the race , was not too diferent to the american society segregated too the black people were lynched even for look a white woman , they dont have the right to vote (mandela) and the services were segregated too , bathrooms for whites , buses for whites , they cant fight for the usa , except the aviation , even a group of black soldiers who back to the usa in the middle of the war , were linched in new york , they put the jap/am in pow camps

  • Is that a mistake from hitler to attack the soviets why he be alliance with russia

  • @spinynorman230 Approximately 10 men make 1 Squad/Section, 3-5 Squads/Sections make 1 Platoon, 3-5 Platoons make 1 Company, 3-5 Companies make 1 Battallion, 2-5 Battallions make 1 Regiment, 2-5 Regiments make 1 Division, 2 or more Divisions make 1 Corps, 2 or more Corps make 1 Army, 2 or more Armies make 1 Army Group.

This is "typical" and isn't including all support troops, such as combat engineers. Hope this helps. :)

  • I'm sorta confused... Staring w/ Regiments- What's the order of size? Like, Regiments, Battlions, Division, Corps, etc.

  • Continued- The Soviet Battle rifles wore out their barrels firing at the numerous Germans, while the French Battle rifles only received minor “dings” when they were dropped. Fortunately for the French a brave US convoy reached their shores with a shipment of White Flags, saving countless French lives...

  • After the defeat of France in the Spring of '40 the Soviets actually did look like almost a pushover. On paper at least the 1940 French Army (with the BEF) was far more formidable than the Soviet Army in '41. With our advantage of hindsight we easily forget this. Fortunately for the Allies that Stalin was iron willed and the pugnacious Red Army troops were definitely not French!

  • @randy95023 Don't knock the French, about 100,000 died in the 6 week battle in 1940 and 250,000 wounded, so many of them fought for their country. If the Russians had 40 million people and the same land area as France they would have been overun just as fast. They lost nearly a million, including over 650,000 captured in the first month on the central front alone.

  • @summerlight67

yes, during whole French campaning nazis lost 144 000 units, during only one Battle of Moscow they lost half million. So hard-fighting french soldiers lol

  • Absolutely love this series, but the music is just an awful repetitive mess. They should have just cut it out all together. It's the same music in every episode. Thanks for posting this! Cheers!

  • LOL yeah I'm surprised Stalin bought that

  • @DouglasEdward84 Good thing for Stalin that he only was slightly less stupid than Hitler in handling his armed forcee

  • @ITILII actually I think he was much worse he just had more to throw to their deaths

  • @DouglasEdward84 would you be surprised if i say he wasnt 'bought'?

  • @protfl I think this is a translation error, I meant that Stalin ignored many of the obvious sings on invasion and seemed genuninely suprised at the timing of the German attack, not that he was bought by use of money.

  • @DouglasEdward84 umm, who paid him money then, there was no error. surprise for Stalin was that germans succeeded that much, not that the war began. or you honestly believe that Stalin believed in Hitlers guarantees?

  • @DouglasEdward84 That must be why it took o long for the Red Army to defeat a numerically inerior opponent...

  • God!!! looking at the number of german divisions and support forces the aftermath was expected, A gigantic ideological struggle, no wonder 2 mn lives were expended merely in stalingrad

  • haha.

now that you mention the movie "downfall", the scene where hitler rages on his generals is used a lot for all kinds of little things. they keep the scene but add new english sub titles to make it look like "hitler gets banned from xbox live", or "hitler gets banned for botting".

those previous comments reminded me of those flicks and made me laugh

  • There's a movie, don't remember its name with Bruno Ganz (perfect) at Hitler's role where he's supposed to remark wrong front tattics of his generals.

  • "Downfall." Excellent movie. Love Alec Guiness in "The Last 10 days."

  • yeah its the only movie about hitler that was realistically portrayed in my book. Bruno Ganz is awesome

  • @LeoWiskie If you liked Downfall, a good followup is The Bunker. The Bunker is more of the facts that are familiar to people. It is a made for tv, movie....but that is what makes it fun. Yeah, it is on youtube

  • Nice series.

  • hMMMMMMMMM
