  • Such a flat and uninteresting interpretation, I feel. I am far more comfortable with either Elaine Paige or Petula Clark who both seem to know what's what here...Sorry to all

  • She's the only woman who could ever sing this song (and the entire score, for that fact) as ALW wrote it. After Patti left the show, the score was revised and this song was changed to modulate "down" a key so the final notes are reachable for other actresses. It's performed with the key change to this day. No one sings it as written, except Patti. Rock on, Patti!

  • @lcowles Linda Balgord, of the 1st U.S. national tour, sang the songs as they were originally written as well.

  • SO freakin' much better than Glen Close... Oh why couldn't they have stuck with Patti???

  • shes my hero im so sad at what happened to her at this show.. damn webberm, i lovED him too..

  • I'm sorry but comparing Patti and Glenn is like comparing apples and oranges. They both had COMPLETELY DIFFERENT views on the character. Also Patti had to sing the songs significantly higher than Glenn did. Personally I prefer Patti because I like subtly, as opposed to Glenn whose far to over the top for my taste. But both women were fantastic in the role. Even though Glenn isn't for me I can appreciate her talent and that she did a good job.

  • I'm a fan of Lupone (I think she's the closest we can get to a perfect Mama Rose) but I greatly prefer Glenn Close in this role. Close had a raw energy and I think got the movie star aspect of it more than Lupone did.

  • GOD when she does the last section WITHOUT a key change.... it just heightens the drama...so amazing

  • So many of the Norma Desmonds where very good - My favorite is Diahann Carroll - give here a listen - and let's here what you think - Ms. Carroll played Norma Desmonf for 2 years and 10 million in the Canadian Cast with Rex Smith as her Joe Gillis.

  • the first norma was nia jones at the sydmoton festival, later patti b4 the west end opening, having seen the original and the run till it closed, i don't think the producers knew how to handle the show till it was too late.

there have been some amazing Normas and some bad ones, we all have our favourites. lets rejoice in the fab show that is SUNSET BLVD

  • I think Patti's take on Norma is an aquired taste--it's small and remote, like she's from another time. My personal favorite was Glenn Close--just because it was so raw and uncontrolled. But there's no touching Patti's voice in this--amazing.

  • Unfortunately she was used to build the material. This happens all the time in NY, a vary qualified actor plays the part in ALL the workshops and once the show is ready to move to Broadway a "Name" is brought and replaces the no name. LuPone deserved every penny of that settlement, she had a lot to do with the gestation period of that show. If you look at the productions starting with the earliest, you can see the change the show had to undergo before it could come to Broadway. And

  • SHE WAS MISCAST. I am a HUGE Patti fan but I have to say I much prefer Glenn Close in this role, regardless of her sub-par singing, when she was onstage she was ELECTRIC. Patti, Glenn, Betty, Karen, and Linda, they all had their phenomenally unique interpretations. Now Petula...

  • I think she's fabulous. If she seems a little static, I'd blame the director. Also, she went first, so Close and Buckley could learn from her. And, to Patti's credit, she's the only Norma who hits the high notes at the end without modulating. Listen to Close and Buckley again and you'll hear them drop a few tones before the last verse for a cheat high note at the end. Apparently Lu Pone bought a fab house in Connecticut with her Sunset settlement and dubbed it the Andrew Lloyd Webber Memorial!

  • @scallywag77 No she's not. Linda Balgord and Debra Byrne also sang it in the original key.

  • You would think that with such a great voice, she could have injected more emotion in it. She's playing it imperial and regal but the singing has no emotions.

  • @annalee12345 This is some weird tv bit they did in England to promote it. I saw her live and, while I agree she is reserved in this video, I can assure you it was not the case in person. She was remarkable!

  • god she is so flat emotionally compared to Buckley and Close

  • Ok to clear the confusion

Patti LuPone was the original London Norma

Glenn Close was the original Broadway Norma

There was a huge controversy because Patti was promised the broadway run and was fired by Andrew Lloyd Webber. She actually sued him and said in an interview that even if she was given the opportunity she would never work with ALW again

  • @AngelorPhantom1359 I would only add to this that Glenn Close was also the original Los Angeles Norma, which opened after London and before Broadway. I first saw Glenn Close in the LA production and even though the LA run was billed as preparing for Broadway, Glenn Close, in my heart, already had a lock hold on the role of Norma. I later saw her on Broadway and she was just as impressive then.

  • NOOO... Betty Buckley replaced Patti in London. Glenn Close replaced Patti as the opener of the Broadway run.

  • First time I heard this. Elaine Paige was even shorter and they lowered the bannister on both sides of the Atlantic!

  • Well, that wasn't accurate... At all.

  • LOL, EZECHEESY, you're quite good at revising history! xD

  • You guys should see the Patti version when she was older. I rank that one the best "With One Look". In that version, she looked older and that made her look more real!!! Power and emotion she expressed in that version almost got me to lose my tears. I really love it and recommend it to all of you (in case you miss it)

  • Where did you see that particular version? :-)

  • I have ssen both the Patti Lupone, and Glenn Close versions (on DVD that is), and while I absolutely love both of them, and is a patti fan to the bone, not one of them comes even close the the breathtaking Kathryn Evans, who is not doing the role in the west end priduction. She completely brought the house down with all of her numbers, and had the audience on their feet at several ocations

  • I agree! I saw Kathryn Evans on the West End as Norma and she was AMAZING! I had goosebumps. She had a layer of subtlelty and sheer drive that I've never seen in the role. I do wish they would have preserved her performance on CD or video. Alas, I only have my memories...

  • SB played in London last winter (08-09). I saw her in Feb. 09...I'm not sure when it closed (maybe April '09), but it was amazing. She played every beat just right and the whole production just clicked. It should have run a lot longer, but alas, it was for a limited time only. There's a great clip of her from the PAUL O'GRADY show, which I recommend watching.

  • Closed on May 30th 2009.

  • Patti LuPone sings this fantastically! Frankly, my only problem with this is that she looks too young to be Norma!

  • exactly!!!!

  • She seems rather board in this song, Granted I have never been much of a fan of hers, but shes lacking dynamics.

  • ok. Patti is a great Mama Rose. She is awesome as Eva Peron. I even consider her my favorite Mrs. Lovett, but after seeing the original Sunset Boulevard, I cannot see her as Norma Desmond. Glenn Close, yeah, but not Patti LuPone

  • Same here. Not her ideal role.

  • Patti was the original, the world premiere Norma in LOndon, Close was teh original Broadway, but not the general original

  • Technically, Ria Jones was the "original." Or, if we want to get VERY technical, it was Gloria Swanson. :-P

  • the first woman who recorded this song was Barbra Streisand... was she the first Norma??

  • @KaraokeKid22 Glenn Close was also the original in Los Angeles, where SB had its only US run before going to Broadway.

  • Oh...I respect her due to her history in the 1960's.

Due you live on Sunset Blvd.?

  • Norma IS a characture of a Human Being. That's the whole point of it. Glenn is hardly doing a Carol Burnett version. She has a regal, historic Hollywood feeling, that none of the other performers have. And I respect and adore all of them.

  • Except Petula Clark, right? ;-)

  • Patti LuPone is my favorite overall Norma (although I really like the way Elaine Paige sings the songs from the show). Patti captures the vulnerabilty of Norma. Her Norma comes across as a real person rather than a caricature. I like Glenn Close, but Glenn's Norma (in my opinion) was just a few steps away from the parody of the character that Carol Burnett used to do. (And I love Carol Burnett.)

  • I have to admit, her singing is better than Glenn's (if we have to compare them). BUT when she plays Norma, it's like Norma is a an actress who have beautiful voice but cannot act... ^^" She's not very good as acting with her voice as well as her body.

  • Vapid, to say the least. She says she can play any role, but her eyes tell no stories here.

  • how can you see her eyes?

  • Well, I can see she doesn't use them in the expressive way Glenn Close and Helen Schneider did. Her interpretation is just not my favourite.

  • Betty Buckley was horrible in this role!

  • screw you, patti OWNED glenn at this. at least patti can sing more than one note. unlike glenn.

  • Midgetashley, you dumb cunt, how HAVE you been?

  • If Lloyd Webber wanted to bring this thing back and have it kick ass, he'd make nice with Patti LuPone again and let her play it on Broadway.

  • THIS WAS NOT A FLOP! Patti LuPone should have starred in the film, if there was one! SHE IS AMAZING! JUST AMAZING!Many people think that silent film actors overact but they don't understand that the actors had no other way to convey their message/lines/emotions to people from all over the world!

I THINK THIS VIDEO CLIP IS RIGHT ON!

  • She was wonderful in Evita! She is a singer and she looks like she could still be in the SILENT FILMS.

Whoever oversaw THIS production got it JUST RIGHT!

But, then, I am a FAN!

    She did her research too.

  • Wow she plays a totally diffrent Norma then Elaine Paige and Glenn Close...way more mellow...but still fricken amazing!!!!

  • i wonder if ALW regrets dumping her... mabey the show would have been a success

  • it ran for roue years, how is that a flop?

  • It's a "flop-hit." The expenses were bigger than the revenue.

  • I love Patti, I really do.

But Glenn just brings a whole new dimension to this role.

  • I agree. She overacts somewhat on the recording, but is still very impressive and more emotionally dynamic. No disrespect towards LuPone, whose performance is good but different.

  • Yeah, GC on the recording just sounded really bad, it didn't do her justice. Check out the clip of her doing WOT and AIWNSG at the ALW Celebration, I was like blown off my seat.

  • The ALW Celebration is wonderful, Close was fantastic there. She has said herself she's not very happy with the recording because she kept improving after it, and I see what she meant.

  • overact? well, she is playing norma desmond, an affected personality. it was fitting.

  • Oh yes, it was very fitting. My wording was incorrect. It was more that a few of her line readings were a bit over-the-top, but that would have varied performance to performance. I've seen other clips of her where she delivers them and sings the songs somewhat differently, but still with the same power. It's just a few spots on the recording that I found her a little over-the-top, but overall she's fantastic in her approach.

  • Yes, the Hollywood dimension. But it's Broadway that's needed

  • she remembers me of the evil witch from disney's sleeping beauty...

but she is almost as good as elaine paige.

  • beautiful, webber made a mistake in messing up her contract, she could have very well won the tony for this play had she been cast in the b'way production.

  • By far, the best Norma Desmond. Love her and love this show! Thanks for posting.

  • o. my. GOD! THEE BEST Norma!

Patti Lupone<3333 we're from the same town and school

  • Northport high? my aunt went there, and when i saw patti after gypsy my aunt screamed out: "Your Northport's favorite daughter!" and she smiled cause she hated it she said

  • yupp! hahaha

  • that's cool

  • The power of LuPone is AWESOME to behold!

    <3 Pat

  • Patti is certainly the most beautiful and youthful looking of all the Normas. And what's better than the original anyway? In this case, nothing.

  • And she was forty four when she played the part! Talk about aging extremely well! Actually, the youngest Normas were Linda Balgord, Debra Byrne and Helen Schneider. And all four (LuPone included) were the most STUNNING!

  • I wouldnt say he is a Hack. he is still an amazing musical theater identity but god knows he has made some mistakes in casting. Im sure he regrets firing patti.

  • Preface: I am a Patti fanatic and still think she is the best Norma. That said, I have to admit, there is a bit of truth about being "too good" as a singer, and maybe she was too young. I do however much prefer her Norma's slow descent into madness over Glenn's "crazy as an outhouse rat from the moment I walk onto stage" interpretation. I saw Betty and Karen Mason, both amazing, and Helen Schneider is a goddess, but Patti, she's the one. ALW is a douche and a hack.

  • I really think that in terms of "acting" "Evita" was her best hour. Vocally she is stunning, in terms of her portyal like the others she was so stiff, lifeless and over the top at certain times. Glenn Close even being the weakest of all vocally blew all the other ladies out of the water easily!~

  • My goodness she's amazing.

I have yet to find anything that Patti Lupone isn't amazing singing!

To quote the most annoying line ever said the thousands of times by Randy during American Idol, She could LITERALLY just start singing the phone book and it seem the slightest bit odd, she's that fantastic!!! :D

  • Eerie how the poor quality of this video actually makes it look like a silent movie...

  • I saw a preview performance of this in London (the one Princess Di, and the prince's William, & Harry attended). I thought Patti LuPone did an outstanding performance. The only real complaint the critics had about her was that her physical features were not perfect enough to resemble those of a silent film actress. A real slap in the face if you ask me. I liked Glenn Close, but Patti's performance was much more natural.

  • I love Patti, but not in this role. It seems like she was being upstaged in this role as Norma... by her own self.

  • I think that patti acted this right. most of the other normans were too vulnerable. Norma thought she was a huge star and everyone loved her. Where does doubt and vulnerablility enter the picture? She was wrapped in emotional bubblewrapped so her ego wouldnt be hurt. She doesnt realize her new career is false until the end. Then she is filled with all that emotion. In the meantime she is still confident in herself.

  • to quote the song "Salome"

"Nobody can play her like I can"

If patti had said that about norma shed be right.

  • I have to say in retrospect that she was probably too young for this part. But I've said it before, no one can sing this part like she can!

  • In a way, Patti is TOO GOOD a singer to be an effective Norma. Norma is delusional about her talent, and Glenn Close ACTS that better than Lupone ever could. In terms of acting, Glenn is a total master.

  • I attended opening night of 'Evita' on Broadway. Lupone was beyond fabulous that night I think she could never top that role or that performance. Forgive me, but exactly why was she fired from 'Sunset Boulevard'? thanks

  • She wasn't technically fired in the sense that they didn't get rid of her in the middle of a run. She performed for the entire original London run (for which she received excellent reviews in London press). The issue came when the Broadway production went under way. Lupone was under contract to do the Broadway run but found out at the end of the London run that they wanted someone else. The reasons for this casting change were never made public and Lupone herself has said she was never told why.

  • It's actually quite obvious why... Paramount, which was one of the backers, wanted a bigger name for the Broadway run and Glenn Close could offer that.

  • Without Patti, there wouldn't BE any paramount studio!

  • Am I the only one who finds it oddly poetic that Patti build a POOL, of all things, with the money awarded for being screwed over with "Sunset Boulevard?"

  • I would be willing to bet that Patti totally "got" the symbolism!

  • LOL! I wonder if there's a mannequin of Andrew Lloyd Webber's corpse floating around in the water at all times...

  • I DON'T GET IT! EXPLAIN PLEASE!

  • In 'Sunset' someone gets shot and their body's found floating in a pool.

  • I was lucky enough to see this production in london SHE WAS AMAZING!!!! simply the best!

  • I must admit, her youthful appearance is a bit distracting.

  • Good voice, no emotion. You simply do not believe her in this role. I admire LuPone and love much of her other work, but this was not the part for her.

  • I disagree. I believe her.

  • Well, it's all a matter of taste, really. I personally don't feel it. Her face is too expressionless. When she sings "no words can tell the stories my eyes tell", her eyes should light up, but she remains deadpan. Perhaps that's only true for this performance, but it doesn't do it for me.

  • That's how I feel about Betty Buckley's performance-powerhouse vocally, but completely void of any emotion

  • I agree with you on that one. Buckley's voice is big, but the emotional force was all wrong.

  • WOW! Does anyone can tell me where can I buy a DVD or CD for this particular production? Thanks.

  • what year is this? 50's-60's?

  • reason I say this is because there's a sunset Blvd. at the library in black and white, and I'm wondering if this is it... Cuz now i feel compelled to watch it.... :D

  • OKAAAAY.... You're WAY off. This is a promo clip from Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1993 musical version of "Sunset Boulevard," which originally a film noir made in 1950. The original film was NOT a musical, however.

  • well i cleared that up a month ago X3

  • i think early 90's.

the black in white one is the movie off of which this is based.

  • Oh thx :D

  • she is amazing

    Glenn Close can suck it!

  • Here here!

  • Actually, if you had been in the Shubert Theatre and watched Glenn in the original production, you would say Glenn Close nailed it...she was absolutely amazing...had all 2,000 of us in her hands especially with her first entrance at the top of that amazing staircase...kabuki wardrobe, yes, but amazing acting and singing...she brought the house down with both of the big arias. My palms took days to recover from all the applause she deserved and we gave her.

  • Yes. I'll never forget when she entered from the top of the stairs-strongest stage presence I've ever felt. Vocally though, no one can do it like Patti.

  • Patti's got the voice, but Close has got a great voice in her own right and her acting nails the part of Norma. Oftentimes, an imperfect voice describes a characer perfectly, and such is the case with Glenn's Norma.

  • Thank you so much for posting!!

Seeing her performance live is one of my dreams!! She is just awesome....*admire*

  • Amazing. The only Norma I know who actually took the last 32 bars up the half step to belt the end! Incredible.

  • Patti looks so young here...

  • It's interesting to hear her version for the first time. I have to say comparing her version to Glenn Close's, Patti's version to me is more old school. Ie her voice reminded me of hearing something from early 1920s which is appropriate for this show. Glenn to me is a more updated version. I like both because they offer something different.

  • saw the play on Broadway an I loved it as well as the music.

  • Ehm-

I adore Patti. But not even Patti can save this terrible musical. To say the musical themes are reccuring would be a masterpiece of an understatement. There are three in total. How long did ALW take to write it? A weekend? Also, maybe I'm a tad too spoiled by Cole Porter and Lorenz Hart, but the lyrics are worse than terrible. At least the leading ladies (like LuPone or Close) tend to help this show a little.

  • Andrew Lloyd Webber began working on it in the early '70s, put it away and came back to it in 1989 after "Aspects of Love" and worked on it through opening week in 1993...It's one of my favourites, but I agree it's not his best as he intended it to be. On one of Patti's interviews somewhere she said that Lloyd Webber intended it to be the best musical the world had ever seen...but obviously it wasn't as it monetarily flopped in the U.S.! Oh well, go Patti!

  • Three? I counted nine. Which is more than I can say for "Sweeney Todd!"

  • I adore Patti :)

  • I'm a huge Patti fan. Yes, Betty ownes this role. Ownes it!

    Glen Close was grand.

But Patti is clear vocal perfection in everything she does.

  • Trevor Nunn and prozac screwed Patti's Norma up. Watch the Sydmonton videos. She's acted it there. She sings it better here.

  • Nobody acts for feces except you.

  • All of these women have their "strong suits"---but hands down, the best was PETULA CLARK. She was tiny, older, and played Norma like a spoiled little girl (she HAD been a teenager when her moviestardom happened, after all)--and at 60, she belted the high D's to the back wall!!!!

  • LEYLANUT, only a complete moron and a braindead retard would even CONSIDER Petula Clark being the best!

  • can you get the musical of sunset boulevard on video or dvd???

  • ALW since he lost sequel Phantom.. I hope he gets Glenn Close to do this soon for a movie version.. this 2008 and not 2018>>! like with POTO..;/

  • I saw Patti LuPone's performance in London and was floored by how brilliant she is (again). I saw all the other Norma's on B'way and Buckley was a great replacement. Glenn Close....but no cigar...... Simply, I think LuPone rocks and should have opened the show on Bway. I did see her play after the Sunset Blvd mess that Lloyd Weber created (greed), in Master Class, and it was a wonderful parallel to what LuPone had endured and what is explored in Master Class about Maria Callas.

  • What acting?? In the Broadway version, it was song after dance, dance after song? I loved Patti in the West End version. Lloyd-Webber said recenting he had nothing to do with yanking Patti from the US version. Paramount insisted on having Glenn Close with the contracts and sales potential. Now, what about Faye -- do you reckon it was L-Webber or Faye doing the diva there then??

  • AdArmand, after hearing Patti's original vocal interpretation of the part, I don't think anyone else could or will live up to her. But I agree from an acting standpoint, Glenn's was the strongest by far and her vocal performance was admirable as well. I think Betty butchered the part vocally. And I think Elaine Paige's performance was way too animated, though I might place her second, vocally, after Patti.

  • Nobodys voice will ever match or come near pattis though I must say I like Glenns Norma best bc even with the singing not as good the acting is amazing and if I have to choose between the best voice with a semi weak character or the best damn character and a semi week voice i think ill see Glenns BC its a musical not a concert acting plays a aprt too

  • Glenn's version is ultimately the triumphant performance if you think of it in terms of the ACTING. Its ripped up. Its powerful, it delivers. She's a magnificent actress.

  • ...it's kabuki.

  • you are so off base- how dare you!

  • it's a little true. you know it is. I'm a huge Patti fan, but Betty Buckley was my favorite in this role. Glen is a great actress, but that performance was kabuki.

  • Patti was amazing as Evita but Glenn OWNS this song.

  • too bad the quality of the film isn't better but thanks for uploading it any way. I saw Patti in London and thought she did a much better job singing than all the rest (Glenn, Elaine, etc) but her acting wasn't well directed.

  • yeah, for Evita! and when she gave her acceptance speech, she didn't even give any thanx to Webber. from what i know, she openly complained about the score to Webber. but i don't want to accuce her of anything, b/c that's only what i heard and it might not be true for all i know. i think Patti's very talented with amazing vocal power and impeccable stage prescence. but Glenn stole my heart as Norma

  • She thanked "Hal Prince for casting me" and "believing in my abilities" "The WRITERS of Evita for creating the challenge of my lifetime". In addition to the writer and directer she also thanked the cast and stated that if she is good it is only because of them. She never openly complained about the script to weber but it was known that it was very hard on a voice which is why this was the first show where an alternate performed the matinees

  • no what i meant wass that she complained about the , not the script. but that's only what I heard, so it could be wrong for all i know.

  • I saw Glenn Close and Petula Clark. Vocally, seeing Glenn Close was a BIG let down, especially the third verse of "With One Look" when they lowered the key. In retrospect, I think Glenn was adequate for the part vocally, and she has a HELL of a stage presence.

  • i agree that Patti's more of a stage actress, but Glenn Close has the Tony!

  • coming from someone who is a musical theater actress, it's a well known fact that acting is the CORE of musical theater! and Glenn Close acted the role of Norma the strongest. Patti didn't act (or sell) the songs to the same extent as Glenn (just an opinion)! honestly , you DON'T have to be that great of a singer to star in a Broadway musical.

  • No, I've just heard both Glenn's and Patti's albums. Patti is a better vocalist, but I just prefer Glenn's interpretation of the role.

  • i agree! Glenn is just magical with how truthfully she plays the role! -

  • Great voice or not, Glenn Close did receieve strong reviews back when she first did the role. I absolutely agree that LuPone is the stronger vocalist, but at times I think she's a bit too refined. I prefer Glenn Close, but also agree she's a bit over-the-top at times. I ultimately like both of them as Norma, they each have something different to offer.

  • Only Patti can this song as it was originally written, unlike Glenn Close, Elaine Page, Betty Buckely or any of the others. I saw Glenn Close and Petula Clark in the role and though they performed admirably they couldn't hold a candle vocally to Patti. And I hate to piss off the Betty fans, but she BUTCHERED this song by basically belting the whole thing.

  • hon, It's LUPone, and she does not act like a diva.

  • the character is in 50's so is pattie, and when gloria swanson did the original movie she was in her 50's

  • Andrew Lloyd Weber fired Ms. Lapone from the West End version because Glen (acts like a man spell it like a man) Close got better reviews in a revised version of the play in Los Angeles. He's nothing but a mean pimp.

  • This isn't true. Patti LuPone left the production to honor another contract. She was supposed to do the Original Broadway production but Andrew Lloyd Webber decided to use Glen Close instead because of her already established success in the role in Los Angeles. She was not fired from West End. He breached her contract to do this show in NYC!!! She sued him for breach and won. The Second Circuit upheld the ruling and the U.S. Supreme Court denied writ. So she won.

  • be careful about your information...as it IS well known that Lupone used to have a bad rep, she actually has changed her ways and is well liked now. there was an artical about what went wrong her career a few years back and she talked about her issues and such and how she was resolving them....shes actually a sweetheart now. whose facts should be straight?

  • WillowGirl, speaking of facts, HON, her name is spelled LuPone. If you're going to trash somebody, the least you could do is get their name right.

And by the way, two Tony awards (not to mention five nominations) later, I believe Miss LUPONE has proven that she can act and has phenomenal stage presence.

Bottom line, learn to spell, win a Tony or two, and then come back and your trashing of a legend may just have a bit of credibility.

  • Even Patti couldn't save this show. Oh well...

  • Now I love Patti LuPone but she looked a little too young to play this role. Maybe it's just the bad video but she doesn't look the part at all.

  • this is an uninspired performance.

  • I sort of know what you mean. She's got a fantastic voice, but you do feel a bit cold. her best role will always be in Anything Goes.

  • She is awesome but I loved seeing Glen Close in it on broadway. That was AMAZING!

  • Were singing this song in choir, its absolutly amazing.

  • Outstanding in every respect! A tour de force.

  • I luv her voice.

  • Petula Clarke Forever... Patti's greatest role shall always be Ms. Lovett... not this.

  • Well Patti LuPone originated this role. Nobody's does it better.

  • I agree! Sweeney Todd and Evita are my two favorites of hers.

  • i worked front of house for the entire year on her run when i was at college and she was perfect EVERY night. 8 shows a week for ONE YEAR! I saw a lot of others in the role too but in my personal opinion nobody came close to Patti Lu Pone. She was robbed of that Broadway opening!

  • It's VERY nice. Where is it from?
