@deartori hülyeség, a pulinak hosszú a szőre. A meleg sem jelent neki gondot! Ha veszel kutyát, nézz utána, hogyan kell gondozni. Kár ezért a szép jószágért. Ha nem tudod, mi a jó neki, tarts inkább macskát.
@deartori - we had a puli in LA from 1964-78 and when you shave them be careful when it's winter if they're an outdoor dog. They freeze without their coats in the winter and their owners sometimes don't realize it thinking they're strong sturdy dogs used to those temps. An outdoor dog will need some kind of supplemental warmth. you clip the hair over their eyes they'll develop eye problems from too much brightness from the sun. Cataracts is common.
This is GREAT -- that's really a Puli? Seems awfully long-legged...but I'll take your word for it. My dog will be 4 years old in January, and I would love for him to be able to swim, but haven't had time or opportunity to teach him and I wonder if it's too late. Anyway...great video!!
Yes, it is definetly a Puli. She probably looks like her legs are long because her hair is so short, we live in an area that is hot so we keep her hair short. Hope you can take your Puli for a swim soon!
swimming comes natural to most all dogs. I had two puli's and they both just jumped in the water and began swimming. Just make sure the coat hair is no more than 3 inches. My family had a summer home and 1 of my puli's fell asleep on the pier, had a nightmare and rolled into the water. She was in full dreads and she began to sink immediately. We were there to jump in after her, but she definitely would have drown because of her hair if we weren't there.
Corded Pulik sink if they have a full coat. We always have a life jacket on our Puli when by the water; she loves to go for boat rides!

wow they are actually pretty skinny w/o the dreads. I thought their body type was similar to a shih tzu.

No need to worry. We have 2 Puli's and they have become quite accustomed to our Cal King bed!

A hosszú szőre a természetes, hidegben, melegben jól érzi magát, ha nyírni akartok, vegyetek valami giccs kutyát....

I shave my puli in the summer. It's just to hard to keep the cords healthy.

Kopaszss !!!

Why??? The best part of the puli is that they have "dreads" and they look like a mop. why did you shave it???

We live in Los Angeles, CA and it is about 110+ degrees in the summer.

I hope my Puli loves water like this one. Though, I can't imagine any dog liking to take baths... just swimming in our lake with us!
CarvinCobalt 2 years ago
She hates baths, but loves to swim. Out other Puli hates baths and hates to swim.

yomomma8acookie 3 years ago
yes cause he really looks like he is drowning... dork
rebeccanms18 3 years ago
he's not a corded puli, so he has nothing to weight him. it's just like any other dog when they're kept clipped.
ShiraBean 3 years ago
Corded Pulis can swim, too. I know some corded Pulis who really love swimming ;)

No, I definitely know that - I have one myself. Though he's a wimp and terrified of water, his Puli friends love it.
I was just pointing out to yomomma8acookie that IF that were true, the comment would be nonetheless irrelevant because he's clipped.

Anytime Sasha had nightmares she would jerk and do this weird moan/cry thing. That's how we knew she was having nightmares.
