  • ...this is piece is caressing my soul like I caress my cat....in a cosmic way....Bill,thank you where ever you might be.....

  • He was so thin for so long and then he just blew up and turned into a fat man before he died so early. What a pity. He had a beautiful touch and conception. Nice substitutions and harmonic shifting. He was the master of working the middle of the sound. There were others who were faster and who played more notes but Bill chose his wisely and played nice changes and shifting harmonies.

  • Because it would be foolish to deny Evans' considerable talent and harmonic language I didn't give him a thumbs down for his muscular rendition of a romantic ballad. But I prefer Tony Bennett's, or even better, Shirley Horn. /watch?v=vSL5AHhpi6U

  • Bill sounds like an orchestra on that piano. He doesn't need anyone. God bless you Bill!

  • Oh my! I learned jazz listening to this man!

  • He's definitely one of a kind. It's always good to see true musical talent recognized and appreciated and Bill Evans deserves all the recognition he is given and more.

    What a talent!

  • is it me or does that lok like howard moon from mighty boosh at 4:49? not to mention howard loves jazz

  • Stunning ... Some parts of the song remains me "Clair de lune" de Debussy.

  • flawless.

  • Feels like being in love!

  • Bill's music fundamentals, theories, counter point study, years of experience playing with other Jazz greats and trial and error has grafted him into one of my great piano heroes. I love the shot where he is at the piano with a pencil between his fingers ready to write down his discoveries as he plays through chord changes. He plays with knowledge and feelings. He is very expressive in his approach.

  • Bill Evans pone las notas más indicadas en cada frase de improvisación, sin acentos y buena combinación entre melodía y armonía.

  • UPSSSSS-----BUENO DE VERDAD!!!!!!!

  • Perfect example of Bill Evans rich harmonic structures personal style and close to perfect pitch on the keyboard. There will never be another Bill.

  • Here we come across the sudden farewell , now we just the standding point to rely some intimates to be on our sidepass or across. It is so clear to wash out sorrowful greetings of days so long distant. On that rainy days…

Bill Evans music , his conspicuous ways of view.

  • @Rheostatik There is a book called the "Artistry of Bill Evans" and the transcription for one of the "Alone" album takes is in it. Along with some great others. Anyway, just thought that I would say that in case anyone else was looking for it. It's a great tune. And an accurate transcription.
