Our Humax HD recorder cut this off just before the annoncement!!!!! It also happened to somebody else we knew. Did it happen to anybody else or was it our settings? I'm pretty sure we have it set right. I think the BBC sent out the wrong command. Anybody able to shed any light on this?

Rachel can't help being sexy - but her dancing throughout the series was brilliant and got better and better. Her Rhumba and tangos where the dances of the series. Finally Tom did a great dance on saturday and it really played to his strengths but Rachels been doing great dances the whole series. I think Tom's supposed sex appeal to loads of women is what won it for him anyway. Thats why they saved him everyweek however rubbish his dancing was.
And while I admit she is not a bad lookign young woman, she used that and played up to it to win a dancing contest. So many of her moves were about having her legs wrapped around her partner and putting a pout on. Tom actually had to dance. And no, I'm not an old fan of his. I'm just saying what I saw.
the showdance, it's all about the number being showy and how the audience lapped it up - he can't actually bring himself to praise Tom outright for fear of compromising himself.
I think the most deserving couple won. They possessed charm, charisma, finesse, class, grace and humility - everything, in fact, that Rachel and Vincent lacked.

Tom and Camilla's showdance was the best in the history of this programme. It made Rachel and Vincent's own extremely accomplished showdance look ordinary and flat by comparison.
I always felt Rachel and Vincent's dances were slightly overmarked - there's just no way they were worth that many tens, no way. Also, poor form from the judges who could barely conceal their support for Rachel - particularly Bruno whose 9 for Tom and Camilla's latin betrayed his bias. Listen to his comments after

John Sargeant should have won if it was a popularity contest. Lisa was the best dancer with the most points for two weeks and then came third. Tom won cos it is mostly watched by women who voted for him, he wasn't the best dancer.

Toms show dance was better than Rachel's but she has danced better than him throughout the whole series. She is an exquisite dancer to watch and the only reason I was so addicted to this programme. Tom only won because of his army of female fans who find him sexy whereas men who find Rachel sexy don't bother voting so much.
I thought Lisa came through in the last couple of weeks as the best dancer ahead of Rachel. Tom could only play the cards he was dealt and would have gone out in the semi as he would been up against Lisa in a danceoff with a very strong dance. One the night his freestyle was by far the most entertaining and that's what makes people pick up the phone and vote.
Tom was such an unworthy winner! Lisa and Rachel were both better dancers than him and he should have come third, not Lisa. I'm really disappointed that he won, he didnt really deserve to.

Tom was such a worthy winner, he actually DANCED in his showdance, rather then Rachel who just seemed to have her legs wrapped around Vincent the whole time whilst posing... Lisa should have been the final instead, she was much more worthy as she grew in confidence and ability and had some amazing dances, though her showdance was exactly the same as Rachels - all lifts and writhing around on the floor. They get a great deal out of it, probably more than any other reality show. Leona Lewis comes to mind, Steve Brookstein was a tool and only one due to the rant on Osbourne's behalf (sympathy vote). It's the Alexandra's and Leona's we care about these are what reality shows are meant for. not because she's a bad dancer, but because the public don't particularly support her.
However Tom & Camilla were supported all the way through the series from week one.

Actually Rachel and Vicent broke 4 records. The other one not mentioned ( I was suprised it wasn''t) was the number of 10s they recieved over the series, 25. Alesha only got 19.

omg tom u so totally deserved to win yu hav been thru so much, although i think all the couples in the final deserved to be there so congrats to tom camilla (and clare) but well done to lisa rachel brendan and vincent ! although is it me or does tess always try to get attention, like starting to dance in the victory dance (final) or trying to get bruce to pick her up when vincent picked rachel up (semifinal) dont get me rong im a big fan of da show bt it does kind of ruin it.

I would give all those people willing to waste their money on "voting" on an already discredited money laundering programme by looking at the TV Listings for Xmas Day....
Because on that day there is a Xmas Day Special in which all THREE finalists of this Final are booked to take on another lot that day.Funny that, because these listings are made at least SIX WEEKS before they go to print -looks like the BBC HAD PREMONITIONS what would happen in the Final.Save your money gullible fools.

Toms show dance was better than Rachel's but she has danced better than him throughout the whole series. She is an exquisite dancer to watch and the only reason I was so addicted to this programme. Tom only won because of his army of female fans who find him sexy whereas men who find Rachel sexy don't bother voting so much.

I thought Lisa came through in the last couple of weeks as the best dancer ahead of Rachel. Tom could only play the cards he was dealt and would have gone out in the semi as he would been up against Lisa in a danceoff with a very strong dance. One the night his freestyle was by far the most entertaining and that's what makes people pick up the phone and vote.

Tom was such an unworthy winner! Lisa and Rachel were both better dancers than him and he should have come third, not Lisa. I'm really disappointed that he won, he didnt really deserve to.

Tom was such a worthy winner, he actually DANCED in his showdance, rather then Rachel who just seemed to have her legs wrapped around Vincent the whole time whilst posing... Lisa should have been the final instead, she was much more worthy as she grew in confidence and ability and had some amazing dances, though her showdance was exactly the same as Rachels - all lifts and writhing around on the floor. Oh well, well done Tom! :)

I'm delighted Tom won - his show dance was fantastic, but there is no need to be rude about Rachel & Vincent. In fact I would have been just as happy if they had won because they danced so well right from the start. Vincent is a real sweetie and I hope that one day he will get to raise the mirror ball.

They get a great deal out of it, probably more than any other reality show. Tom will be appearing on practically every talk show going and he is talented enough to go far, this is just the platform he needed to launch his many talents. I have no doubt he will go succeed. He will no doubt be appearing in a West end musical, as other winners before, have done.
X Factor winners are the manufactured puppets of Simon Cowell - show a bit of initiative and you will end up like Steve Brookstein!

Leona Lewis comes to mind, Steve Brookstein was a tool and only one due to the rant on Osbourne's behalf (sympathy vote). It's the Alexandra's and Leona's we care about these are what reality shows are meant for. I'd rather spend my vote on shows like this where we actually crown someone who goes on to do something with it.

WOW so glad Tom won! His show dance was awesome! Me and my sister cried when he got through to the Last Two! We were trying to vote all evening and didn't get through! He so deserved it he was the most interesting and full of personality. Rachel was too perfect and pretty - lke a princess. Tom was way nicer and more human! Well done! X

i agree with you, men have the disadvantage. like of rachel did go wrong during a dance vincent could pull her back into place whereas if tom went wrong camilla could do nothing and the whole dance would go down the drain

Yes, for some reason he was always undermarked by the judges, but the public were always on his side. He was never once in the dance-offs. (Although John Sergeant was always in the same circumstances, ahem, that's another story.....)
