Saturnus, My Dying Bride, and Draconian are all badass. Type "Draconian Death Come Near Me" into the Youtube search and watch the first video that pops up. It is shorter than the real version of the song, but still good.

as far as Death/Doom bands: Draconian (from sweden) my favorite album by them is "Arcane Rain Fell"

and this goes without saying: more Novembers Doom... the book explains the lyrics for their first full-length & al the full-lengths up to "the novella resivor"

Daylight Dies are my favorite Doom Metal band, i can hear them for hours, you won't waste your time ;) If you get the Album "Idle", don't be frighten, it sounds a bit different than the newer two but it's still great if you just listen :)

We don't want to be Opeth, not at all. We're two quite different bands, who happen to have a few similarities, that's all. We've been writing this style for years, before I'd even heard Opeth!

Plus, they're friends of ours, and we're not in competition with each other. There's enough room in the world for both bands. I wish Opeth all the best, and I know they feel the same towards us. I wish some of the fans could understand and do the same.

I would not agree at all. But you can have your opinions. I saw Opeth live last night, and they blew me away. Opeth and November's Doom are two different genres of metal. You can't really compare them.
