I know a guy who had three Staffordshire bull terriers and he took them to the sea on a regular basis and threw sticks in to fetch them, he only got two now one didn't come back out he returned for 3 weeks hoping the dogs or at least his corps would return so he could burry it but no luck he don't take the other two to the see anymore.have a look at my videos I'm pretty sure my boy is a Irish staffy some people have said other wise but I don't think they know what there talking about!
Alright folks. Got myself an irish staff a few months back and never knew they had pit in them. The thing is he has his papers and is kc reg how is this possible if theres pit in him?
Nice dog mate, I have had my irish for 7 months now from a pup . She is scared, of water tho unlike yours. The only thing i'm having trouble with is she always runs after people on bikes.. Any tips would be great !! Thanks.
@TheTopman21 ur bitch will get used to water over time, shes still young mate, dont force her into it, just temp her to paddle a little by edging her closer with a stick, as for chasing bikes!! lol a firm hand never hurt anyone, she has to no shes doing wrong so using the lead jently wip her bum, they usually hate that, be angry with her becouse she will sense it, and she will start to listen as the breed loves nothing more than to make you happy!!!
@welshbeauty100 Yer went the beach today, with a log and she went straight into the sea after a few good throws... The lead thing worked a treat .... I think the bike thing will take time still young, so time will tell .. Thanks mate....
staffs dont come in blue, also you will notice your dogs ears are bigger than a staffs and his head is more sq,the reason....his a pit just like mine....
@lukedainty87 google irish staffs! they are not always pitts, or should i say they dont always carry bull blood, but then again what is a pitt??? any dog capable of fighting in a pitt with another dog? technicaly you could say most terriers are as they were once pitted against each other,
Finally, I figured out why my staffie wasnt looking anything like the others I see- she's obviously an irish one because she's identical to yours! Only difference being that she doesnt like deep water like that lol
@tipsycat27 hey, just wandered who ur bitch is registerd with? the irish staff is very similar to the show staff but ther are some diffrences, get the book :staffordshire bull terriers by shaun barker, this will help you x
I love the Irish Staffie: they're the healthiest, &sleekest, of all the Pit type Bulldogs, & this fella looks a classic example. He's a fine dog, mate - you must be very proud of him.
@RedBryn thanks mate, he is lean, cut and very fit, ther hasent been a bitch yet to wear him out, he dosent really get on with other males tho especialy if there bigger, typical behaviour tho
