Seriously, between howcast and expert village I've never seen such moronic instruction. It's like they have no filter on who uploads to their channel.

Don't you mean Criminal Band instead? (Just curious.) Correction: The signal meter displays signal from 0 to 9 +30 dB (in red area) depending on how close people are to you.
@29pu04 if you put it on its side, the only difference will be having to turn your head to read the display. sideband is a few mhz up or down from the designated freq's.

I'm not aware of any state which has banned the use of radio equipment in a vehicle, especially since this would hinder a wide range of radio services (public, business, ham, etc) regulated exclusively by the federal government (superseding state laws). At the same time, the use of radio in vehicles has a very long track record showing this practice does not fall under the "distracted driver" concept.
@Camman010 where the heck do you live lol.....a CB is nowhere near as distracting as a cell phone, hell, they put Bluetooth into them now for truckers. If they outlaw that, what about the mobile 2ways contractors and construction crews use in there pickups for communication? What about the VHF radios in boats? You don't wanna run ashore shootin' skip in your Bayliner. What about Police, Fire and EMS and there two ways? That ain't happening anytime bro...lol
@strumem90 Sorry to inform you, but the Bluetooth CBs are so you can connect your cellphone with your CB and use it to route your phone calls to the CB (I know, I have one) and the companies have yet to come up with a Bluetooth CB which transmitS to a headset (as least, as far as I know) but they are supposedly looking into it. Ontario, Canada is the only place that has passed such a law and let's all hope it doesn't catch on! You can google Ontario CB for more info on the upcoming ban.
