What we must remember about "The Wiz" movie is that even though Stef originated the role on Broadway, Hollywood is a different ballgame. They wanted someone with "star power", which she didn't (yet) have. It happens all the time with musicals that are adapted to the screen. Diana Ross was really too old to play it, but she had the status the producers wanted. And there you go.

Why is it that Beyonce is always mentioned? On any video about any female singer I see her damn name. Beyonce stans are arrogant and annoying. Makes people not like her. But let me say this. We all know Beyonce can sang and has ample talent. Of course she can't compete with the greats and for the most part she doesn't even try to. There are alot of singers today who can't really sing. They choose to follow what they feel is hot instead of being original. We can't go back in time but I think when people say that they mean they miss and want the QUALITY that once was. Record labels are part of the blame for this. I'm a young dude and I only listen to music from the past because alot of the music today has no soul and sounds the same videos etc. Stephine is one of the greatest singers ever.
