Yeah, I agree that nonviolent prisoners who commit victimless crimes should not receive a life sentence, but then again if you are participating in the drug dealing business you are feeding in to a system that kills and tortures innocent people, as well as providing children with lifelong addictions. Yes people change but just because you claim to find God does not mean that you are any less responsible for your crime. And our courts judge people every day.

@NicolaAlexandrovna Only real judge is God. I would hate to be a jude here on earth because they do put innocent people away. They do break innocent families apart. If I was a judge I couldn''t sleep soundly knowing that I may have put away an innocent citizen. So I guess my problem is the justice system isn't fair. You are proven guilty until you can prove your innocent which is bullshit..I also know not everyone changes, but not everyone is bad for life.The world is a sad place in many ways.

Most prisons in the US are not about rehabilitation and rather about locking people up for money. That is of course what the Drug War is about and why America has the largest prison population.

Obviously some of these girls don't deserve to be in prison.......I'm talking about the inmates there for victemless crimes like drug possession and what not. As for the girls that are there for true crimes.......well still I personally think life in America is almost always screwed up somewhat so that the prison industrial complex can flourish.

but it does make them re-think their mistakes and realize they can't be doing this anymore. when they get out they try to make serious changes. and if they don't try then they are hopeless. But they do have a ton of resources in prison, like drug rehab and psychologists, support groups, and they have programs to try to get them involved in the community and make them a worth-while citizen. it does have flaws, but so does EVERYTHING else in the world.
