Interestingly, Daniel did not grow up in Quebec, but in Hamilton, Ontario. He is what is known as a Franco-Ontarian. Great heritage: French, Anglo, Acadian...add in New Orleans and fascination with technology = MAGIC!
When he broke in talking I skipped ahead. ...I was saying to myself 'sounds like Zydico' (which I'm not too familar w/) when he said he had to learn English as a new language. French Canadian Zydico?
Thanks for that video. It was great to learn something about the background of the song. Danny with long hair somehow reminded me a bit of Louis Quatorze just from the looks, though he has nothing to do with him. ;)
I found it funny how he had to learn the English "th".
Nice Nice Video. I really loved your video. Youtube can be a great asset for you. If you need any help getting your video exposed, check out this site called tubeviews [dot net] It has really done wonders for me, I have built 3 Channels up with videos at top in position and this is my forth channel i'm going to working on.
daniel is such a class act! did'nt have it easy either! a great ambassador of french canadians and a testiment thru example of the coexistance of all peoples.
i always loved listening to cajun music. now to find out daniel has his roots in the style only helps to reinforce & solidify my appreciation of both the canadian & louisianna french contributions to the world of music. cajun festivals at the best i've ever been to! great video! thanks a million!
How nice to hear him talking about his life and this song. He was the genius behind Dylan's Grammy winning "Time Out Of Mind"... gave it that wonderful sound. Wish he'd do more solo albums... he's awesome.

My man also. We have been blessed because he had to learn to say "th" and now we have him forever. He speaks to my soul.
