I´ve got exactly the same sort of hair loss. it´s thinning exactly like that. it´s the worst right in the middle and at the end of the crown area. When I hide it, it still reasonably ok. But I doubt my hair will survive for long time. I give max 3 or 4 years. But what can you do, as you say, that´s life, you cant do much about it. When it´s getting really thin, the best option is to shave head, forget that fuckin hair loss and get some confidence.

clean scalp thoroughly every day and do not use shampoos or rinse ever. cut hair short use a sponge and apply rubbing alcohol. sting? yup! keep head CLEANED! sterile. you're not only wiping away exterior grime but absorbing away body excrement that cause baldness. your hair will first stop falling out so much and then regenerate too over the months. can't stop the applications either, ever. but the hair won't always have to be short just the first six months or so, to help application. try it.
@burritopunx don't use a shampoo or a rinse, but yes the alcohol will really dry the hair and strip it's oil. To make that less an issue mix the alcohol with olive oil about 50/50. and wipe hair with pure olive oil every so often. most Shampoos and conditioners are made with petroleum bi-products they should be avoided. some even have alcohol in them too. doing this will mostly stop hair from falling out and will actually help some hair come back from what I've seen..
But it depends on what is causing somebodys baldness, you need to try and find the reason. It could be a number of things:
MPB - male pattern baldness, your the son, following in the footsteps of 'chrome dome' like your father.
BAD DIET - you could be eating trash, and improve your diet, which may help your hair grow.
ALOPECIA - people get this mixed up with MPB, alopecia is when your hair falls out rapidly, as in rapidly, and every morning you wake up ther's hairs on your pillow.

I use to have very thick hair as I am Eurasian, but my father is bald as is my grandfather [British]. MEDICATION - also if your on drugs, pills prescribed by the doctor for your health reasons - they can sadly cause baldness too.

yep hair loss sucks im only 23 and have been losing quite a lot of hair for the past 2 years, my hair is thick so i can cover it up around temples area or whatever its called but it makes me feel very depressed. I hope i can just slow it down so that i can atleast make it into my 30's before its too obvious.

When a guy begins to go bald (and you have tried all the hair loss products, and they dont work) then just admit, your going bald, and go for a 0.5 shaved all over haircut, a 0 is where it's totally all shaved, but 0.5 is where they leave a tiny bit of hair all over.
ask your hairdresser for a 0.5 all over, hair loss on a shaved head looks far less noticeable and much better.

I use to have very thick hair as I am Eurasian, but my father is bald as is my grandfather [British]. So perhaps hereditry! now it falls out whenever I comb it or even wash it it sheds like leaves. soemtimes when i wake up its all over pillow, it is a pain but to be honest perhaps I am vain and it is only natural with age. What yopu need is something to block DHT formation. My hair use to be Jackie chan or Bruce lee thickness and now it has really fallen out and thinning. im 26.
