This makes Mt. Huashan look like a panty!!!! if you have the chance to go to china hike mt huahsan. if a fat local boy from hau'ula can do it.... you can.
We just hiked it today. Chenay Borja was the first female to scale it!! Also Marcus Griego & Randy Glidden. I got dizzy just looking at the video. I can't believe we made it. Thanks for the inspiration David!!!!!
Just made my first attempt today with one of my friends and made it to just short of the puka. I think the craziest part about it is that your life doesn't really rest in your hands entirely. Every rock, vine, branch or root that you grab could just break or crumble away beneath you at any time. That plus the heights just made it so mentally challenging that we were done by that point. Planning on going back and doing it again though eventually. Once again, congrats. That's one hell of a feat.
I'm just curious whats going through yer mind the whole time you're climbing around on these ridges, is it just oh shit ! ... oh shit ! in a continuos loop? totally mental, totally inspirational .
Congrats! That's one hell of a climb that I've been looking at for a while. Your video just reinspired me. Hope to be on that list with you soon! Great video :)
Kawika, Unbelievable climb! You got da guts brah! Couple times I tought we was goners when da rocks fell and da ridge crumbled! I been to da Kualoa area an' da K'a'a'awa Valley many times and always I look up at doze fluted mountain ridges an' wonder what it would be like to be dere. Now, tanks to you, I know. I ain't no sissy, but I gotta admit, when you made it to da summit an' looked around, tears filled my eyes! You have every reason to be proud! Jus' be safe man. I pray for you.
Wow... incredible climb! Your photos and video are stunning -- they capture how narrow and crumbly the ridge is. My heart rate increased just watching it. Congratulations on your climbing achievement and your awesome video!
I used to be a hiker until I took a 100,000 meter drop in the knee.

@maddhatter5283 huashan is much safer - man made and safety lines
these nuts are on an old eroding path with only the occasional rope to help them down lol
still on either path you would die if you fell so...
