Eeeee...muy lindo, re envié este regalo a muchos amigos y les encantó!!!..very nice, I sent this gift a lot of friends and they loved it!!!! thank you very much!!!!
In December, 2001 I saw this before a documentary at the Egyptian Theater. It brought the house down. I've occasionally wondered about it over the years. Don't know why I thought of it tonight, but a quick google search for 'short film christmas decorations' brought it right up. So glad. This is fantastic!
I like the video. It's cute. But what I ABSOLUTELY loved is the musical pieces used in the clip. I have been looking forever for the title of the sound used in one of the skills of the Bard in Ragnarok Online. (It was the Overture of The Barber of Seville.)
I've been looking for this short for ages now! So glad to have found it...
It was one of the things that influenced me into getting into 3D in the first place - Great work. And knowing the story of the making-of, it's even more astonishing.
This is made with a 3D rendering program. You can use a number of them, like Poser, Blender(free), Bryce 5.5(free), Daz Studio(free), and others. Daz has puppeteer which you can search for here to see what it is and is free with the program and Poser has their own animation section on their program.
Thank you! I used 3D Studio MAX (v2.5) to do the animation and Adobe Premiere for the editing. Similar work can be done with programs like Maya and Softimage.
very nice animation. I just think your character is a bit stiff. try adding a little more fluidity and even squash and stretch to exaggerate it a bit. It makes it much nicer and humorous.

The songs, in chronological order, are:
"Habanera" from the opera "Carmen" - George Bizet
"Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" from "The Nutcracker" - Tchaikovsky
"Can Can" from "Orpheus in the Underworld" - Offenbach
"Barber of Seville" Overture - Rossini
"Trepak" from "The Nutcracker" - Tchaikovsky
