  • their sound technician is S.H.I.T and so is this cover...........

  • What a bunch of uggo dorks.

  • Really awesome cover! Wickedly Beautiful for a live performance.

I like Placebo's cover the best but no, you can't beat the original.

    Peace and Love.

  • Its a decent cover but what i like of the original is the fact that the rythm guitar is really low volume and acoustic so it almost sounds like percusion.

  • its ok

  • ... wow ok, the rhythm guitar is supposed to NOT be distorted and the lead is... not the other way around

  • @budqt1 idiot, it's a cover, not a replica.

  • HOLY SHIT NO WAY

WAIT THIS ISNT THE PIXIES OH MY GOD I NEVER WOULD HAVE GUESSED

it sounds like dick when you cant hear the lead guitar tho because it isnt loud or distorted

  • great cover, but whoever put the FYI facts up. Butch Vig produced Nevermind by Nirvana. Steve Albini produced the follow up album In Utero. but the Pixies were definetely a huge inspiration to Kurt, as he had to fight with his label to allow Albini to produce the album

  • Great cover!!!

  • awesome cover!

  • good cover but not as good as the original...

  • I think it's VERY much in the spirit of the orig. Vocals sound slightly like placebo, on the phrase "where is my mind".

  • nice job

  • This is blasphemous. Not to mention fucking awful.

  • omg EXCELLENT

  • the city wolf cover is by far the best cover i've heard so far

  • WATCH OUR COVER!

  • awfull

  • it says on the screen Kurt Cobain hired Steve Albini to record Nevermind. No he did not. He recorded In Utero kids

  • @monkeygonetoheavensi

    I noticed that too

  • sxcWilly18 you are an idiot now go away dumbass

  • f*ck art lol i just like good music and the pixies are shit so is placebo so are these pricks ... city wolf sing this wayyyy better than all of them

  • @sxcbilly18 the pixies made the fucking song and it was in the 80.s so fuck your city wolf bullshit

  • @madgreenss yeah.. but its easier on the ears lol

  • @sxcbilly18 sorry dude you r right that cover is the best by far!!!!!

  • Having seen this song played live by The Pixies a little over 12 hours ago, I can say with absolute certainty that this cover is nowhere near the quality of the original. Good try, though - go NZ music!

  • no shit.your comparing poos with diamonds

  • Very bad sound man!Very poor, i like the pixies version much more, try using a goddamn acoustic guitar man!

  • I like this better than the Placebo version at least.

Pixies's WIMM > James Blunt WIMM > The Feelers WIMM > Maxine Cyrene Piano Version > Placebo WIMM.

  • LOL....

The Pixies are covered by The Feelers.

  • great cover, no one can top the feelers, ever!

  • wow this is a great cover

  • the best cover, but nothing is as good as the original

  • for all of u total losers who thinks this is a crap version and think you could do better????.................come back on here and say that when ur the top selling new zealand band for over 10 years with 25 million record sales! tossers!

  • Crap crap crap Nohing can beat the pixies. Merry Xmas.

  • :D correct

  • I think it's a great version but your argument that someone can't criticize it unless they can personally do better or be NZ's top band for 10 years is retarded.

By that "logic" no one can criticize movies unless they make movies, books unless they are a writer, and politicians unless they run for office.

  • The Feelers are a bullshit New Zealand rock band who write fucking arse songs. They do not represent NZ music, only the middle of the road boring crap that is generic to every-fucking-where. They picked up their recording contract from Warner when the company dropped The Exponents who were another shit middle of the road band.

Fuck you, fuck the exponents and fuck the feelers for holding back real NZ music from gaining a proper foothold.

    daft cunt.

  • whatever u gay fag, bet u cant even play a guitar, bet u sit at home with your mum still at 30 years of age! get a life cock

  • nicely put my friend!!

  • Tha video of James Reid dancing you have on you profile - I bet each night you have a wank over it then cry yourself to sleep.

NZ record charts are fixed, idiot. And besides, feelers tried to move overseas and failed. what does that tell you?

That they are shit is what it fucking tells you.

  • Why do New Zealanders pack into The Feelers gigs? Because they are a top notch band.

Not many New Zealand bands have been very successful overseas. This is because the market place there is flooded with music from other countries. The Feelers are better than every other New Zealand band, becuase they are extremely popular with New Zealanders.

  • Popularity doesnt make something good, and consensus doesn't make you right. People used to think the world was flat. Didn't make them right, it just that they didn't know any better.

Offshore music markets are full of their own middle of the road rock shite. But they do bring in *unique* artists from other nations. There are many NZ acts that are popular overseas. Ask yourself why The Feelers are not among them.

  • cause the average new zealander needs his art spoon fed to them like a baby u mean...

  • Poor job? You meataxe. It's a live gig for telly, dubbed onto youtube... what did you expect? Listen to James Reids voice, its actually a pretty good job.

  • It was live the recording no sort of retake it sounds ok as a song

  • i like the feelers.... but they reealyy shouldn't have done thiss.... poor job, very sad

  • never... its good but the pixies, are the pixies, mate :)

  • I like the "popup video" captions. I'm a pixies novice, so those are informative, well done! Overall the song was o.k., but the lead vocal track needed better sound mix, and the ending should have been done different from just reproducing the original.

  • its actully a good version

  • huh?

  • I've heard toilets getting sprayed with dodgy curry sounding better that this cover. Joey Santiago spraying his toilet after eating something dodgy would probably produce. Better sound. Cut the cheese Joey

  • herp derp the singer looks like a chubby edward norton

  • yes a chubby edward norton from fight club, which this song is in.

  • Good cover but, distortion attack much?

  • Good effort boys

  • ew destortion raped this song for me and so did his singing :(

  • That solo was so off, that i had to go take a shower.

  • the audio clips so much...

  • u said it rusty tops

  • great cover

  • oh wow awesome cover!

  • wow hate the feelers but great cover boys

    (hope hlah reform )fark

  • well is see some 1s fucked lol:|

  • is this the kiwi band the feelers? havent heard them for years

  • Awesome.

  • Steve Albini produced In Utero, not fucking Nevermind.

  • yup, he produced in utero in 1993, big deal you want your medal now or shall i hang it next to your plaque?

  • the bass doesn't sound outa tune buthole! Awsome cover!!

  • Feelers did a good job. Lookin' forward to their beautiful feeling video hitting the 'Tube'.

  • that bass sounds outta tune

  • mmm, I agree.

Regardless, this is a pretty awesome cover.

  • no its fine

  • who got pluged ? little girl

  • yes, this song has to be done dirty. maybe theres another band that can disassemble it definitively. afterwards it may be sung a capella again.

  • really great, I know in the singing parts the singer wants to scream a bit, but me, too. :)

  • This cover is made with their guts! Congratulations!

  • It sounds exactally like the original when u sing i was swimmin in the caribian but when you you go to where is my mind sounds really shakey, but i loved it

  • awesome cover

but wat are the lyrics at end of 2nd verse where its like "except the little fish, but they told memkdmjkmdkfm"

  • "except the little fish, but they told me he swears trying to talk to me, coy koi"

  • whoever did those gay ass captions should perish in hell. kurt cobain never hired anyone for nevermind because he was poor and a nobody before nevermind. he did hire albini for in utero though. just some trivia fags.

  • yeah...idiots do some friggin research before putting it in a video, agreed

  • nice cover! check out my band's version if you want!

  • So much better than Placebo's, in my opinion.

    The singing is as whiney.

  • A beautiful version of Where Is My Mind; I love it! ^.^

  • good cover, i like it more than the one placebo did.

but, of cause, mostly i like the original ;)

  • nice usefull info at 00:52 :P

If you dont know that and your watching this go shoot yourself

  • no one comes near to the pixies but i have seen the feelers get huge crowd sapport thay are a kiwi icon band and there new album is pretty good.

  • the singing could be a lot better... also why did he have to start of the song as if it were some i dont give a fuck if you like it or not punk song?

  • Fight Club rocked the Pixies!

You love the Pixies! We love the Pixies!

    All Hail The Pixies!!!!

Visit Duncan2518 to see the Big Green Tanks cover 'Where is my Mind?'

  • placebos cover was better

  • Dude, That song came out two years before that add. Anyway, The Record company probably sold the rights to the financial company.

You'd have seen this if you weren't knee deep in your own preconceptions. Also, Doing comments in Caps, and using multiple exclamation marks just makes you look like an idiot.

  • Fake band?

It looks to me like those people are real physical beings. And it seems that they are in fact playing their insturments.

It also seems that you're a retard.

  • hahaha is that 4 real about the fellers ?? tv commercial soundtracks LOL hahah fuk that wot a bunch of money hungry cunts

  • Comment removed

  • didnt FEEL it?

  • The Feelers at their best, James(?) still sounded a little up-tight.

They have a better taste in music than they let on!

  • Actually, I think this is a little better cover than most. The only "Where is my mind" cover thats better is by Placebo, but then again they had Frank Black singing it....

    ajk

  • I'm not "feeling" it.

  • this song is awesome. plays at the end of fight club when all the buildings are falling down. so cool!

  • this song is so incredible, I am infected whit it!

  • This is probably the best Where is My Mind? cover I've ever heard.

  • great cover, i really enjoyed it

  • they dont sing that good though

  • Are you insane?

  • hey guys! the feelers are totally cool! i have never wanted to suck james' balls so much! they might be rotting but they are delicious!

  • This is an awesome video! Cheers for putting it on:)

  • No probs - it is NZ music month after all! I have 2 other vids from this same show, may put them up soon. Enjoy everyone :)
