Mr. Joy had bumblefoot, a staph infection that causes feet to swell with infection, cutting of blood circulation and causing dry gangrene. It took months of antibiotics, hydrotherapy and bandaging to save his feet. He got along just fine, using his wings when he lost his balance.

@GoatBlaat You shoud adopt as baby rooster, I've had two as house pets over the years and it was fun. Bucky went out during the day like a cat and roosted on his chair at night with a litter box under his bum. No worse than having a chihuahua.
We have a chicken at my Synagogue and we've fallen in love with it! (A chicken? Yes! A chicken! At a temple!) We named her (of our own accord) Feygeleh. There are a couple translations; the one we used means "little bird."
In any case, I was trying to find out how to bathe one because she's filthy and just gets filthier. Here's what I found! Hmm... I guess the large disposable BBQ pan from Safeway will have to do.
Why not love a chicken? Is it really any different than loving a budgie or a dog? They are gorgeous animals, full of character. With the bathing, some chooks are happy with a dust bath, where the flap in the dirt to dislodge bugs and parasites, others love a bath in water. Give him/her both options and the bird will sort itself out. It really is up to the bird, their preferance.
i don't think your suppose to use a blow dryer.that can over heat the bird.if you love it so much.don't use a blow dryer unless you want the rooster cooked.
It's not uncommon, especially in show birds, to bathe and blow dry them. Mr. Joy started getting baths to rid him of northern fowl mites without pesticides.
Oh my goodness, so adorable! I thought I knew a lot about chickens, but I've never seen one get a bath. Don't worry, Mr. Joy, I don't eat chickens or their eggs!

I guess this really shows that love and kindness, to even the creatures we sometimes eat, really does make a difference.

Maybe I should take a rooster/chicken as a pet, instead of a standard cat or dog.. x]

@NadimahElizabeth They sound like fun, now you say so. And a chihuahua is never coming into my house, I don't like those tiny dogs xD
Maybe I take a cat. Or a rooster. I can't decide..
