and old losers with guts and covered in tatoos who smoke a pack a day tend to stick close to motorhead. MH "fookin owns" skumbag fans and thats about it
While the Who covered it and I am sure that is how Vedder came to know it, the song is by the Holland-Dozier-Holland Motown writing team. They also wrote the Supremes hits "Baby Love", "Where Did Our Love Go", "Stop! In The Name Of Love" and others that sound similar.
Pearl jam´s version of this song is the best!!!!!!!

Motorhead's version annihilates any version of this song including the original. Lover Pearl jam though

If I saw Pearl Jam it would only to see the Who covers

And for The Who it was an Eddie Holland cover. Wow first time I ever heard of a cover of a cover.
Best version is the Motorhead one...

We've all heard a cover of a cover. It's cool to see, but it happens here and there. A few examples:
A few bands play the Crosby, Stills, and Nash version of Joni Mitchel's Woodstock.
Ever heard a cover of Manfred Mann's blinded by the light? It was originally a Springsteen song.

@JJon3 Did he really just say "...like a douche?!?" XD
Thank you for posting that. Most people don't realize that song is a cover!! LOL

I don't think either of them made the original, The Who did it back in what... the 70's?
I don't think The Who made it originally though, either.

Amazing! Sounds EXACTLY like it did on that CD for Mia. What a voice Eddie has.

LanceUppercut01 - to each his own. Gay people tend to shy away from Motorhead.
