Would have loved to see the original. Check out my song tribute "Here's To Alfred Hitchcock" (with accompanying montage). Just click on my name below or search CraigASilver.
The reason for change is probably cause the kids wouldn't have seen or known some of the things the attractions are about. For instance i believe it'd be pointless if you go on a ride about a movie but you haven't seen the movie. So i guess they thought about that. There's a real, smart reason.
And besides if you think about it some of the things before like the bttf one might be immature to even older generations like a few ones before you. If they replace Shrek 4d or the Simpsons with something else itd be the samething with another generation
This is awesome. In the late 1990's my dad was selected (by a BLIND EMPLOYEE!) to be "mother" and re-enact the Psycho shower scene. The stuntmen were from NJ, like us. It was probably 10 years ago and I remember it like yesterday! Absolutely amazing experience.
The movie at 6:06 ... what is it? I remember seeing this when I was younger (LOVED the attraction) and even being disturbed by it, the color and the way she collapses was always very visually appealing.
I remember back when they had the Psycho house at Universal Orlando. Those were the good old days, back when Universal cared about presenting their classics. Now they rip out the classics and replace them with stuff like Shrek and Jimmy Neutron.
I agree, this show is so much better than Shrek 4-D. It is sad how they closed this attraction. Hitchcock is the awesome and is a legend. Shrek and Jimmy Neutron are nothing compared to his legacy!

It was a tragedy that USO let this go for stupid Shrek which isn't nearly as much of a classic if it is at all.

I remember going to this attraction many times in the mid-1990s.
It makes me really sad that it's been replaced by the Shrek thing.

I'm disappointed they got rid of the Hitchcock theatre . Just goes to show you the brainless masses always get their way.
