try mounting the speakers saddle bag style on the sides & without bungee

google "street party instructables" & see my system. you could do something similar with wood & bolts as mentioned.
i'm going to do that with my next "light system". i just went with saddlebags because they didn't need tools & the speakers i already owned fit.
with decent mounting, your speakers would look cleaner than mine did. you could use the space between your speakers on top for your batteries, amp & player.
saddle bags suck when you drop off a curb and 1 of your speakers falls off! LOL

Sounds great, looks like an accident waiting to happen xD. I would suggest mounting your speakers to the rack with plywood and bolts
