I have a big problem with this stage and no walkthrough helps :( when i have to "rope run" on the wall with big paintings i cannot reach the opposite wall crevice :/ it seems in my game scarab is too low and i always fall down... It is so annoying i am stuck in this point for days now :/

At 05:30 the had jump, just change the camera view exactly like shown in the video while you are coming back, it works.

lara wont grapple on my ps2 version on the centaur level. it's impossible! i think it's glitched ;/

Ugh, same. Mine froze up about 20 times today, and then reset itself >:(. Although that may be because my brother tried to clean the disk with shower cleaner.....

I've been having problems with Lara not grappling the rings (especially on the last part on this vid). I have PS2 (I know how ghetto. lol). But anyway she only grapples the ring half the time and the other times she falls down the stairs. Then if she does, she won't grapple to next one on the other wall. I am stuck! And pretty annoyed about it too.

you don't throw it at the right time, the moment you jump you press the grapple key or else she falls ! on the last grapple , the jump from grapple to the other perpendicular grapple, you press the right key when the first grapple run is ALMOST ending then you jump and immediately throw the grapple, then let here come near the end then jump !

I always grab the other edge, just hold jump longer and wait for the farthest she reaches, i always did all at one swing, except for 5.58.

but for time trial, there are 2 glitches wasting my precious time: i have the same problem,

at 2.17 i have to stress press jump button because she

won't do anything for a while even if she leans out to jump position, i press x nothing happens.

I never fail all tha comes before 5.58, but everytime i make time trials it wastes my nerves

when i press backward on 5.58 and instead of jumping backward she jump right, omg i'm about to

destroy my pad cause the whorewont jump backwards, on 180°analogic efforts.

ok guys, im in trouble, at 2.17, she wont grab on the other edge. I ve done it several times, the only way she can reath it, it´s stopping with the rope, and going a little bit up, but i can´t do this sinsce to finde the secret i have to be super kick, it seems odd but in all the walkthrouhgs i ve seen you reach it with no problem...i´m in pain =(!! pd. im paying ps 2-.--not pc..HELP!!

It might be hard, but when you see her feet on the second to the last Pharaoh's waste(the drawing on the wall) NOT Horus (the one with the birds head) but the one to his right with the human head. press jump and don't let go till she on the ledge.

thank you so much!!! but guys, i ve solved it other way, If you have problems too, this is it. Since it was just fucking difficult to make it super quick, Just balance in the rope for a second time, and she´ll reach higher!^^ giving you the time necesary to reach the secret before the stick it´s gone^^!

I got it.

I had to disable some effects and lower the resolution of the game. With these settings I easily managed the jump.

Now I found the right settings to have the best possible quality of graphics while still being able to manage such jumps.

Those kind of jumps seem to be a problem when using high settinges with kinda low hardware, there are many others who have similiar problems.

(By the way, I'm playing on a laptop with 2x1,66 GHz, 1GB RAM and a Geforce 7600 go 128mb RAM)

Same here. What I did was, instead of jumping "normally", I jumped the millisecond before she falls to the ground. That way, Lara will JUST reach the ledge, and you'll have to grab on to not fall down. It's a bit tricky, but it should work.

I beated all Time Trials now, the most hardest for me was St.Francis Folly. I totally hate this large room with all those chambers (Apollo ie.). *narghs*.
