They should have the Alien from 5:08 come from the ceiling and grab a maniquin person. Then u should see fake blood splatter from the hole. HOW AWESOME (and gruesome) would that be? It'd be like the movie!!
They should have the Alien come from the ceiling and grab a maniquin. Then u should see fake blood and fake body parts fall from the hole. HOW AWESOME (and gruesome) would that be?
I remember riding this when I was 7, and passing right underneath the alien coming down from the ceiling. And I could have sworn that something wet and slimy dripped down and landed on my shoulder, but there was nothing there when I got off the ride. It still baffles me to this day
Everyone! Attention! There happens to be two Aliens on the ride. One unrealistic one as in this (or most) video of the ride. There is a realistic on in the ceiling near the exit to the enter Indiana Jones: The Lost Ark area. Look for it when you go on!
All you have to do to see a specific show is be in the correct car. When they load the ride, the one in front goes through the Gangster scene more quickly. The first car then goes through the elaborate gangster scene at close to the same time as the second car is going through the cowboy scene. It's so you can do a deeper performance for both cars simultaneously.
I always looked behind me as a kid to see if the animatronics were people, and took a break until the next vacationers came by. I 'd love to jump out of the car a ruin the entire scripted show......yaaaa being young.
AGGGH that music i heard at the beginning was the finale music for my dance recital =) anyway this is really cool how long has this ride been around? i might have rode something like this at disney world 2002
The ride was one of the opening day attractions when Disney/MGM Studios first opened in 1989. The ride's facade is a replica of Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood. It was actually the park's centerpiece (like Cinderella's Castle is at the Magic Kingdom), but was replaced in 2001 with the Sorcerer Mickey Hat, which was placed directly in front of it.
There are actually 2 versions of the ride. You got to see a small part of the ride that people rarely see, for some reason. I've been on it countless times and have yet to see the cowboy version. You're lucky!
@bsslegel You'd be more likely to see the cowboy scene if you go when the park is crowded. (Or, y'know, more crowded than Disney already is.) I went on this ride for the first time last year when Kris Allen was there (but we didn't really care about him performing and stuff, we just wanted to see the Muppet movie!) and got the cowboy scene. We then got the gangster scene when we went back there later and then a few days ago.
@twilight55556 We were just there 2 or 3 days ago, and we pretty much just walked through the line easily with no stops except to take pics in the queue. It was right in the morning, possibly during Extra Magic Hours.
starting from 2:28, the guy with the gun and the suit....haha when i went on this ride last summer, the person was different, it was a woman not a man lol
@bsslegel Yeah, we were just there a few days ago and got Mugsi. I think there may be a video around here somewhere with her. (Not the same one we had, though) When I'm old enough to have a job as a Cast Member, I would totally want to play her, or Kate Durango...or even just a regular tour guide.
I remember when i was younger and we went too florida for the first time, and the Alien Scene in the ride TERRIFIED ME! :)

littledivagirl110 1 year ago
@bsslegel How different is it? If it is pretty different then that would be interesting to see...
CoDcomrade2 1 year ago
@CoDcomrade2 It's not that much different. You see a western scene instead of the gangster scene. Other than that, the ride is the same.
