hey, it runs pretty good. a good 12 miles an hour top speed. I have to touch two wires together to get it going. I had switches, but they just coudn't handle the load/current. I am about to put the motor on a pocket bike that i got for free actually 8)
i salvaged the parts, the batteries are deep cycle batteries from walmart, the front rim is from a 1990's or so bmx, the motor is from a shcwinn scooter, and i fabbed a mounting plate from garage door hangers
Why didn't you use lithium ion batteries? Lead acids are so heavy and bulky, etc.
