I don't care about the voice right now. I mean the game might not even have voice acting or be able to switch to japanese.

What I don't get is why does she suddenly make him captain? I'd think he'd just be a crew member.

Most likely this is explained in the game which isn't gonna come out for a while I just wonder is all

I'm just going to assume that these voices are placeholders for the actual VAs. The game isn't due out for like 8 months so, so underwhelming acting in an early trailer isn't exactly unexpected.

Ha, this is SEGA who brought us the voicework of Shining Force 3 and the House of the Dead arcade games...so besides publishing a number of good not-Sonic games lately and upcoming, maybe they decided professional voicework is a good idea, too.

To be fair, the House of the Dead games were supposed to have terrible voice acting.

As to SF 3, I hear the budget for the voices on that one was... not great. : )

I never cared for things that are 'supposed' to be bad. In my opinion bad is as bad does and if something tries to suck and succeeds then all you can say is that it sucks. Sure you can it succeeded...but it only succeeded at sucking.

As for budgets, come on, that Centaur chick's death cry is "nooo." They couldn't find some girl to scream that like she means it instead of someone who didn't get enough sleep and is slipping into a coma? So depressing.
