I think a Korean defector is a much more reliable source than a person from WHO who visited the place for a few days. The defector have lived in the country and seen the system for over 20 years, while the person from WHO was sent there to inspect. Obviously, if North Korea have problems, they would try to hide it from the WHO representative.

There are various reason's but the military is one thought that people pick up the habit while there since they also have mandatory service for males. The UN is always pretty reliable else where so why not with this? 2001 is a long time and I'm sure things change there just like anywhere else. I hope you do more of these video's!
