  • I bet you white people get tired of hearing the same questions over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, again...

  • I wasn't aware we still had segregated schools in America?

  • We definitely do!

  • The races will continue to naturally segregate as long as so many blacks insist on acting like barbarians and calling it "culture." Oh yeah, and then they'll blame whites for the trouble they get themselves into. I almost forgot the punch line.

  • Maybe the difference is the kids themselves.

  • You must be an idiot. I teach Black students in the hood, I have 1 white kid. The kids are wonderful. It's institutional racism.

  • No it isn't. Your view is wrong and you perpetuate it because the truth is something you can never admit to. We will never be able to have an honest conversation about race.

  • I am glad there are young people like you asking the hard questions. I agree with the other post, that it is less about race and more about income and the way schools are funded by property values. However, that does affect race and continues to hold some people back from success because of poor schools. Stay in school, keep asking questions!

  • it's not so much about race than it is rich neighborhoods and poor neighborhoods. Most school are given money based off local taxes, esp in California and that's why we have one of the worst school systems in the nation.

  • Yes, poor white students get very little but poor white students get more than poor Black or Native American students.

  • If you look at statistics across the board, it's poor students from poor neighborhoods that get the least money. It's not a matter of race, but rather income and class. It may seem like race is the issue but that's bc in big cities minorities make up a good deal of poorer neighborhoods. However, this is not so everywhere. Also, affluent black students receive more college financial aid than poor students in general. All students should be treated the same, regardless of race or income.

  • Being a teacher in a ghetto school I can tell you this. Yes, a poor white child has a worse education than a middle class child. However, most of the time a poor black child will have it worse than a poor white child. There is a lot of institutional racism and discrimination in schools. I know for a fact in NY dom. Black poor schools are getting less funding than dom. White poor schools. I agree, it's a shame, and all kids deserve the best edu! : )

  • Only 2% of Black children are affluent. Also, it is false that they receive more financial aid than poor students. I know some wealthy Black girls at my university who received no aid whatsoever.

  • affluent black students receive more college financial aid than poor students in general.

not true whatsoever, I happen to have Black friends of African descent.

Race and economics go hand in hand in this world love.
