A beautiful film, why are there none like this made anymore? The reverence and beauty of faith is simply awesome. I have had this on VHS and played it many times, it is not available on DVD but is occasionally shown on Fox Movie Channel. Loretta Young was quite religious and a devout Catholic, I read that during the making of this film she chastised Celeste Holm for not kneeling correctly! The last scene is extremely beautiful and powerful. THANK YOU so much for uploading this film!

The little boy with the Angel wings..oh my gosh..he's so cute! This movie really moves me..what is it about nuns?? I went to catholic school for 9 years,,I miss those days with the nuns..good memories!

Why is this wonderful film not available on DVD?

@SymphonyBrahms This is on DVD. I only know it because I rented it after a very long search in video stores. The last time was 3 years ago at Blockbuster. They've since gone out of business. Had I not rented it, I too would say that it's not on DVD. Even Turner does not sell it on their web site. It must be out there some place.

Thomas Go mez was the black man. Hewas in a ton of movies. Little known or remembered, Hewas a great actor.....PLEASE some one tell what the sisters are signing towards the end of moviw. I know it chant what is the name of it, I thought it may be the magificant , but now i dont kbnow.....

Thank you for posting this. I remember my parents awakening me when I was about 8 years old to watch this. My mother, Rosemary O'Shea (stage name) was Loretta Young's understudy, did her stunts and was one of the first stunt-women in Hollywood. I had thought I would never see it again. Thank You!!!

I have always loved this movie also. Have you ever heard of a film called Half Angel? Loretta Young played in it with Joseph Cotton and it is my favorite movie with Loretta Young
