  • watchin this shit makes me feel weak.. im 16 and only bench 160

  • next time you should probably have the spotter not touch the bar

  • @jmoneymorse he prolly only helped a lIl on the last rep but he was mostly making sure his dumb ass friend didn't drop the weight on his chest with his open palm style press (thumb under)

  • next time do it without spot..lol he was so helping

  • @Onlyhampz you got that right

  • This aint normal bench press, its 2man benchpress D;

  • Fake plates? Please, look at the bar bending when he lifts it ... fake plates won't do that? Impressive video by the way. :)

  • Come bench some iron plates and a 45lb Olympic bar at my gym and see if you rep 3 alone!!!

  • Keep ur hands off the bar and get it

  • Get the fuck out out here

  • I don't give two shits about how old he is. Still, I'm almost at 300 pounds myself.

  • 0:30 how come i cant do that lol

  • Fake plates, btw.

  • @Dvnn1408 Fake plates in a real gym? No the plates are real you gotta come up with something better then that

  • suicide grip!!!!! ;0

  • cmn only 3 times

  • Damn. How the hell does a video like this get so many thumbs down? Surely there would be more supporters than haters.

  • Call me crazy but I'm pretty sure that is 315....

  • Never see a man do barbell rows like that before

  • :/ u dont say he lifted it if you have a tha spotter lift with you because that means u didnt lift it.

  • HE DIDNT GET HELP OR ANYTHING...

  • @Flankermatty94 you've honestly never benched before or you would know what that guy was doing..

  • @andyfamas well yes i do know, 300lbs is good yes, but even a finger or two takes alot off of the lift. let alone a few fingers that takes away quite a few kg's. if you dont do it on your own then its not really all you. yes the spotter can stay with you but he clearly was helped up.

  • its funny how the guy at 0:29 looks over and turns away like psh i repped that yesterday lmfao

  • speilberg workin that camera haha

  • yeaaaa boy wear that cammo

  • not 300 lbs clearly

  • @thedean64 ur right, its 315

  • the worst form and grip ever... ...which makes the lift that more impressive... ...you can double this in a few weeks if you lift right...

  • @TheYouwontgetit ARE U A MORON lol his forum is perfect and his grip is fine and no shit he did a lift off y wouldnt he do a lift off saves energy the last rep he helpd a litte but...............theyouontgetit his forum is perfect your so dumb lmfao his not trying to power lift he is trying to build muscle you are thinking abt arching your back that doesnt build muscle well it does but u might as well be doing decline god dame i hate dumb ppl like you lol....nice for 15 im 18 and do 315 4 times

  • @likelike697 ...dude stay of jack3d - it just makes you aggressive for no reason - don't get me wrong, it was a good laugh to read it... ...but the truth is that with suicude grip he doesn't have as much power because his triceps aren't activated and he has to put the bar further in his palm - again less power because the fg doesn't go right through the forarm.... ...if you somehow think that he is building muscle with 3 spotted (!) reps then who is the moron here ;)...

  • @likelike697 ...you are also wrong with not arching the back - he is obviously going for strenght - because he lowers his elbows to his body... ...if he was going for tone/muscle - he should go closer to his neck, with elbows further from his body and 15 reps... ...so he is obviously going for strenght at least during this serie... for that he should arch his back, place his feet under his body and do not move them, put hishead down and in the chest, stabilize the shoulders, etc...

  • @TheYouwontgetit god dame you are dumb look at any MR.O bodybuilder and look at there form then look at his its the same so? i think most bodybuilders like ronnie coleman are trying to build muscle over strenght and ive been doing the same form for 3 years now and seems to work great for strength and building muscle so were ever u get your shit from they are 1 wrong and 2 really gay

  • i love how your spotter helps you

  • @dimondeagle3 When does he help him? He has his hands there in case the guy drops it

  • @Guitargasm17 look his viens are popping in and out, he was helping him.

  • @dimondeagle3 Looks like he gives him a lift off and maybe helps him on the last one. He's barely gripping the bar. I don't care though.

  • That's 315

  • @ClearDream It's not a standard bar. You can tell by it's short length.

  • 15, my ass

  • Its not hard to bench with no thumb grip... but the way this guy is doing it looks like its about to drop on his face.

  • "YAMINASHI, WE GOTTA HAVE SOMEONE TAKE THE FALL FOR COLOMEZ!"

  • That's a funny way to spot rows...

  • DONT COUNT SPOTER WAS TAKEING OFF 2 MUCH WEIGHT NICE TRY THO LOL

  • why would you try and rep something you cant even lift? Pointless...

  • his grip scares me

  • @superiorlongboards thats the same thing i thought..

  • @CoDmoDitsTomInHD well his thumb isnt wrapped around the bar ive seen a lot of accidents resulting from that kind of grip but obviously he finds it more comfortable

  • @superiorlongboards his grip could have made this video awsome :)

  • @superiorlongboards Suicide grip.

  • @superiorlongboards suicide grip is amazing

  • @superiorlongboards his lack of it you mean?

  • @Birgler14 well just look at his thumbs one little slip and hes gonna decapitate himself

  • WITH HELP LOL

  • Very nice Deadlift exercise. Although he could do it without the dude on the bench.

  • the guy in the background is stronger!!!

  • u retards the spotter cant do shit from there. its so he doesnt kill himself. u guys r fags

  • you guys are fking stupid if you think the spotter could help even more than 15 pounds at the position that he is at. kudos to the lifter for the nice lift thats impressive. and for all the haters go to the gym and maybe you will learn something

  • @greekpiezza I workout everyday, and yes a spotter can do that from that position considering his strength.

  • damn that spotter is strong, but the person in the back just doing reps with 90lb is the true strong dude there

  • try doing legs you faggot

  • where r ur wieght clips!!!!!!!!

  • Anyone can bench 300 pounds while their spotter does most of the work

  • wtf is this shit, none of those reps count.. cant have your buddy help you like that..

  • spotter is doing all the lifting

  • @MrJdmcoupe ur fucking joking right? He had his FINGERS on the bar, not his full hands you expect to bench 300 with finger tips...?

  • you people are so gay, for one thing, 3 45lb plates on each end and bar is 315, I cant believe all the pus**y videos on the internet about bench press, I'm an old man, 48, and can actually do what I post, w/o the bs!!!...loosers!!!!!

  • @Vv132164 What's your point? He's lifting MORE than 300lbs. So why call his video BS etc.?

  • @Vv132164 Yet you spelled "losers" wrong.

  • Those disk weights are less than 20kg each, the way the bar hits the rack and the noise indicate 15 kg a disk.

  • would be better if your spotter didn't hold the bar 24/7, i can see the last rep, but...doesn't make me think you lifted the weight by yourself...however, size doesn't matter i guess, you look pretty scrawny to be lifting that much, good work

  • @Nwwlsfinest sizw doesn't matter... im 17m 73 jgs bodyweight and i bench 280... it all depends on strength ;) the guy here is obviously not 15, the spotter helped in the last rep, but that is not bad.... he is getting the most out of the lift

  • Shieet, that's crazy strength right there! Didn't even look hard.

  • way to help out there friend grippin the bar?

  • nigga deff aint 15

  • Yes, its a suicide grip but bodybuilders of the 70's made it popular. By not putting the bar between your index finger and thumb and resting the bar directly on the palm of the hand it prevents your wrists from buckling, the wrist joint is taken out of the equation.

  • that guy helped him every lift... how about letting go of the bar and let him do his shit

  • he's fucking pulling that shit for you..

  • @DrmrGuy1979 i believe it, i appreciate the research. i lift in a dirty garage often alone, and in my scenario thumbless is lame. i can take more than i can max and roll it off my body if i fail, but if i drop it on my neckmeat, im dead. standard grip for me. thanks for the reply, peace!

  • fucking nice

  • You guys are clearly master illusionists. I almost thought you benched that by yourself!

  • Get your hands off the bar spotter..

  • Give this comment some thumbs so i can pass them on to the guy in the video as he obviously needs some.

  • I don't know why everyone is talking so much crap, thats just a good spotter and a bad mother fucker right there

  • Kid can bench but he can't count... Unless that bar is 30lb, you just benched 315, not 300.

  • Think your spotter can help you some more

  • 90% spotter 10% the "bencher"... crap....

  • @ricardozs1983 shutup you stupid mexican why so jealous

  • @LesnarNextBigThingF5 i'm from Ecuador skinny asshole!!! both look like retards

  • @ricardozs1983 thats not even me.

  • not too bad of a deadlift... glad that guy on the bench decided to help out

  • he was lifting each rep with him lol. no count.

  • that spotter practically lifted the entire weight on the 3rd rep

  • @willskater08 EXACTLY

  • teamwork bench....gay

  • thats sick man

  • No lift he had his hands on the bar the whole time

  • @DatBoiiAaron9 A good spotter needs to hold his hands around the bar. Doesn't mean he applied any kind of force.

  • @TheHyroi Not if you are doing just regular workout and you know you can push the weights. Last reps and maxes are a different story.

  • @tehl33t666 No, but for safety why not? Who wrote those rules? You did?

  • @tehl33t666 Besides he was doing thumbless lifts. Also called (death grip). I would want my spotter to have his hands around the bar at all times then.

  • @TheHyroi Well, suicide grip isn't the smartest thing imo, but to each their own.

  • look at the guy behind him-almost like me xD

  • I didn't see a big buff guy. Spotter touched the bar the whole time. Its a no lift

  • forearm flex, faggot cunt cheater

  • took two of you to lift the weight!

  • can anyone tell me a reason why anybody should EVER bench with a thumbless grip? how do people get started doing bench like that? im curious

  • @smats42 less strain on the wrist, but much more dangerous for your health...lol.

  • @smats42 Good reason why they should bench tumbless... to take out brachialis from the strenght... and risking their lives... other than that... no reasons.

  • @smats42 I just feel I can press more like that and the grib seems better for some reason. each man to his own I guess.

  • @smats42 I don't do it either but some people feel more comfortable benching that way and in some cases it's possible for them to put up more weight like that, either way I would never recommend the "Death Grip" to ANYONE!

  • @smats42 it targets the muscle more, its called suicide grip...

  • @OuraMagz ok, ive gotten some great responses to my question. however, yours is the WORST response. "it targets the muscle more"? regular grip is not enough "targeting" on your pecs? that sounds like the height of bodybuilder bullshit.

wrist injuries? ok i understand. dangerous, but i can at least understand why someone would do that.

"targets the muscle more"? you read too many bodybuilding magazines, and you dont know what you are talking about.

i bet you still do leg extensions!

  • @smats42 lol i barely do legs but wats wrong with extensions?

  • @OuraMagz Holy shit, please die.

  • @OuraMagz hey man i saw your channel, i didnt know you were 15. when i was your age, i got suckered by the same bodybuilding stuff as you. i thought i needed isolation exercises, which is typical bodybuilding magazine dogma. its totally wrong for most people. if you want to get huge, you need to get strong. the best way to get strong and then huge is compound movements. the best exercises for getting strong are squat, deadlift, bench, rows, pullups, military press. focus on these...

  • @OuraMagz ...and dont bother with isolation exercises unless you are actually training for a bodybuilding show. you will be surprised how big all your muscles will get from squat and deadlift alone, add the other lifts i mentioned and thats all you need.

you say you dont train legs much, thats a common mistake, i understand. but training legs will make your upper body bigger too, more than just training upper body(training legs releases growth hormone). i think this might help you. cheers

  • @smats42 thanks :) yea it does so what should i do for legs my whole workout? keep in mind im only 15 :) i did deadlifting the other day with 3 plates each side which was a good accomplishment for me and it gave my llower back a good pump...is that supposed to happen?

  • @OuraMagz at this point in your training career, you should probably focus on learning proper form for squat and deadlift, until those lifts become second nature to you. dont worry about going too heavy, it tempting to go heavy right away(because its fun!) but just do 3-5 sets of 10 with perfect form, perfect breathing. dont even go until failure yet, you will get plenty of growth stimulus from the form training. after a few months, start adding weight slowly(5 # a week), form is key...

  • @OuraMagz ...dont bother going really heavy (sets of 5 or less) for a couple of years. i know that seems like forever but learning form when you are young is WAY more important. start once a week, based on soreness and fatigue you might go to every 4-5 days(or keep it once a week, it depends on how you feel). if you base your training around squat and deadlift, your whole body will get stronger.

deadlift will pump your back, thats normal. 315 is really good, focus on form though. good luck

  • @smats42 thanks man! yea my form is good i keep my ass out and bak striaght

  • @OuraMagz right on, keep it up

  • @smats42 It forces you to push straight up from your palms and keep form.

  • @smats42 supposedly uses less forearm muscle so you wont get tired as quick...from what i was told..i find it useless

  • @smats42 You can tuck your elbows more.

  • @smats42 from what ive been told by competitive benchers: at higher waits it starts to put too much pressure on your thumbs. idk though.

  • @brunodabeast1 weights8

  • @brunodabeast1 most powerlifters use their thumbs, from what i have seen. especially on heavy weights. but im no expert, you might be right, thanks for the reply.

  • @smats42 because they are retarded and do not know how to really lift

  • @smats42 yes its called the suicide grip and it works more of your chest and less of your shoulders :)

  • @MoreViralVideos lmfao where did you hear that!? hahahahahaha....ill have you know thats not true at all lmao

  • @slimbw93 well gee only legendary bodybuilder Kai Greene said it in one of his interviews but hey I bet you know more than he does.......... (fart noise)

  • @MoreViralVideos most bodybuilders have no idea what they are doing, watch any bodybuilders routine...in most exercises they use mostly momentum to get the weight up, also a lot has changed in the studies of working out since then, so why dont you get youre facts straight .....(SHART NOISE)

  • @slimbw93 lol "since then" u act like hes a bodybuilder from the 60s. You probably don't even know who Kai Greene is, oh yea and anyone whos won the Arnold Classic and placed in the top 3 at the Mr Olympia I would think knew what the fuck they were talking about. Your not going against my opinion, your going against someone whos dedicated the last 20 years of their life to the sport of bodybuilding which is fucking more than I can say for you... good riddance!

  • @MoreViralVideos i meant since then in the sense of when the technique was developed dumbass its a technique developed in the 50's and clearly he doesnt know what hes doing if he thinks that is going to make a difference in the muscles that get worked, there is literally NO EVIDENCE that is true other than one body builders quote do you even know how many injuries have been caused by this grip, people have literally gotten killed from it, go learn something about lifting chump

  • @slimbw93 how can you say he clearly doesnt know what he's doing, OBVIOUSLY he does being as successful as he is DIPSHIT. AND NO FUCKING SHIT THEIR ARE MORE INJURIES WITH THIS GRIP BEING THAT YOU HAVE LESS CONTROL OVER THE BAR. IF YOU DONT THINK SUICIDE GRIP ISOLATES YOUR CHEST MUSCLES MORE I REALLY DONT GIVE A FUCK AT THIS POINT, WE'RE NOW BEYOND TRYING TO MAKE A 16 YEAR OLD UNDERSTAND SOMETHING NEW. THEIRS ALWAYS GONNA BE A PERSON THAT NEVER ADMITS THERE WRONG, TODAY SIR YOU TAKE THAT AWARD.

  • @MoreViralVideos in bodybuilding strength isnt the point size is, you can be a very successful bodybuilder shooting up steroids every damn day and having half ass workouts bench press isolates your chest muscles and ive tried this stupid fucking grip and i feel no difference between this and a conventional grip making your grip wider and smaller will change isolation on your chest i bet you didnt know im taking in college in an anatomy and phisiology course this semester! you are very stupid!

  • @slimbw93 wow...if your honestly trying to brag about an anatomy and physiology class im giving you even less credit then i did before, and btw you should probably learn how to spell the course before you attempt to take it...

  • @MoreViralVideos why would you give me less credit for having proof of my argument, check out my text book, Anatomy and Physiology: The Unity of Form and Function by Kenneth S. Saladin then you point me to some proof that im wrong...YOU CANT BECAUSE THERE IS NO PROOF THAT CHANGING THE POSITION OF YOUR THUMBS WILL HIT YOUR PECTORALS BETTER! if the distance between your hands does NOT change then the muscles affected will NOT change you fucking idiot

  • @slimbw93 lol quit trying to brag about courses my 8 year old sister could take first off, secondly your grip and position on the bar both matter along with how you bring the bar down and everything else thats part of your form. To say only one thing matters makes you the idiot.. give it up slim

  • @MoreViralVideos i didnt say only one thing matters, i did however say one thing doesnt matter...the thumbs dont connect to anything that can cause you to bring down your elbows differently or to change the range of motion in your shoulders, call me the idiot all you would like but the truth is you have still not shown me the most miniscule amount of proof so until you prove to me with documented research that that im wrong you are the idiot, and i wont respond until you provide a valid argument

  • @slimbw93 THANK GOD because im so tired of arguing with someone who knows less about bodybuilding then Tom Hanks knows about bird watching.

  • @slimbw93 i have not heard a reasonable argument yet for how suicide grip "isolates the pecs" or any of the reasons people do it. the only reason i have heard that makes sense is "i have wrist injuries and suicide grip hurts less." i dont see how the exercise is changed in any meaningful way by not using the thumbs, but i see how it makes it more dangerous. all the responses i get are "it isolates the pecs" or someshit like that.

benching with thumbs seems to work the pecs just fine to me..

  • @slimbw93 ...and all the pro suicide grip arguments sound like they are based in bodybuilder anecdotal legend. so i feel your pain. if there is a real difference im still waiting to hear it in something other than bodybuilder "guy at the gym told me" psuedoscience. for what its worth to you because i saw your comments. peace!

  • @smats42 yea dude thanks for being a reasonable person unlike this idiot who never showed me any proof, my text book literally shows a diagram of how the arm works and your thumb is not connected to any tendon which connects to any forearm muscle that would then run to your tricep, shoulder or pec and make a difference in the scenario of exertion like a bench press peace bro

  • @slimbw93 thanks bro. the weightlifting world is full of everything from all directions. its hard to navigate sometimes with all the gym talk out there. at this point i agree with you, right or wrong, that the thumb does not affect the bench press enough(if at all) to make suicide grip worthwhile. i will still listen to other opinions but my conclusion is 99% made. if the pecs dont move the weight then what does? good lifting and peace!

  • @smats42 Trust me, at any weight past like 250, "suicide grip" as it's called really helps because your forearms will tire out before your chest most of the time with the thumb added. Though, it's best for continuous reps, like for training, not for records and such because of the tendency cylinders have to roll haha.

  • @RyanKaufman i appreciale your reply. i have been benching off and on for 22 years, my best max is 325. ive done everything from sets of 40 to singles. i have never had my forearms get tired before my chest, triceps and front delts. you are the first person i have ever heard of saying that their forearms get tired from bench. with all due respect could you explain this more? im just curious, maybe you can teach me something. thanks and peace

  • @smats42 I haven't actually experienced it, my buddy Greg who's right about to get to 400 is the one who told me. I could honestly be wrong but he went to school on the stuff so I trust his word. It's just the way your thumb is stopping any movement of the bar, so this will use your forearm. If you take out the thumb, you're simply holding the bar up, and your chest and upper arms do the work.

  • @RyanKaufman thanks for the info, ill take it into consideration. peace and good lifting

  • @smats42 Its called suicide grip, it is stupid, it is meant to exercise your front "quads" more, and thus get them in the "push" too, but is is at the sacrifice of safety.

  • @Vv132164 exercise your quads more?? lol where did u hear that bullshit,

  • @smats42 its harder that way buddy

  • @St4ybLunTDD its hard enough for me as it is! lol peace bro

  • pussy shit

  • thats crazyy

  • Although that is impressive you need to stop bouncing it off your chest.

  • plastic plates :)

  • Dude you do not look 15

  • its cool.. But the Spotter Cant Help Him do it..... come on folks.... if you wanna see someone do this WITHOUT Help... check mine out

  • dont hold the bar like that it will fall

  • Man fuck all of u y'all are so pathetic come on he's 15 you dumb fucks really really good tho but haha I saw that to he pulled it up every rep "."

  • His spotter pulled up every rep and he used the pussy grip too?

  • please, i use dumbells that heavy

  • wdf so when you have bad case of acne and fence facial hair your 15 so I'm guessing I'm 85 cuz the wrinkles on my forehead

  • his spot pulled every rep up...in reality that kid is benching a lot less cuz his spotter is pulling half the weight up for him! dumbass kids get outta here!

  • bro, try to bench it using your thumbs. you might be used to the way you do it, but if your not careful then it could result in some serious injury. but anyway great job at getting the weight up!
