No One can replace Lou-the greatest Voice in Rock and an awesome songwriter!
Lou's cancer may have impacted his stage presentation and presence, but through it all he now has Eternal Life through his Saviour, Jesus Christ. NO amount of fame or wealth in this life will bring what Lou now has, and I rejoice in knowing we will share eternity with He who gave His Life to set us Free from Sin and iniquity in this sad sinful World.
That said, Kelly is uncannily like Lou and an absolute credit to Lou!
First time i've heard Kelly & I have to say he's fantastic. I understand why people will make comparisons between Lou & Kelly but the simple fact is they're both awesome singers.
Kelly is doing an awesome job. I have been to their recent performance and was highly impressed. So was the audience. Kelly is super performer too. The way he mingles with the audience, will bring him very close to you. Not only he has great talent, but a whole lot of effort and sincerity. He also knows that Lou is being missed here.
Give Kelly a break - he does an awesome job filling the shoes of Lou and his voice is haunting close to the way Lou sang them. "this Steven Tyler lookalike" as you call it (below) can hold a candle & DOES!
Audiences fans need to understand the guts sweat and generositiy of performers deserve MAJOR appreciation for ALL that they GIVE! the hours, the years, the dedication, the "keeping the craft" together after all this time...the way the music has affected your life-APPRECIATION is a MUST!
I understand people love Lou Gramm, but Kelly Hansen does a great job with these songs, and is an outstanding singer. Unfortunately Lou's health problems has hurt his voice and he can't sing like he used to.

@SHS854EVER Journey found Arnel Pineda on Youtube; he'd been huge in the Phillipines for over a decade, and he fit the bill. The new cd he recorded with them is good. This guy (Kelly Hansen), however, has been in a number of successful bands dating back to the 70s, the most prominent ones being Jinx and Hurricane. Lou Gramm casts a pretty big shadow, but I think Kelly does well fitting into the band. Your standards for live performance must be unbelieveably high to call him "terrible."
