You need them two games for the trilogy to be complete! How about downloading an XBOX Emulator and the Outrunners MAME Rom, which I have and then put it through MaLa or something! Yeh!

Unless you mean Turbo Outrun my PC emulates the original Outrun from 86 perfectly. I use MAME 32. I have every rom ever released for MAME. Like 2300 or so.

where do you get your roms .. most of these sites are not working . ive been dying to get my hands on the killer instinct stuff , the mortal combat stuff , and most of the shooting games

it looks like you need to turn your steering sensitivity up for Outrun 2006. I played both Outrun 2 SP at the arcade and Outrun 2006 for pc, all night, and the steering is very responsive in the arcade, and my NASCAR licensed steering wheel doesn't quite match that. But, an arcade cabinet is the way to go!

No, this game is not emulated by mame yet. I'm using an ArcadeVGA2 card (you can buy at on the ultimarc website)

I guarantee that MAME will not be able to run this smoothly in this decade. And, if you can't run the version optimized for PCs, then maybe think about getting a new computer. I run this game perfectly on AMD Athlon 64 3500+, nVidia GeForce 6200, and 512mb ram. Nothing special. My computer's 4 years outdated, too. I can't run a lot of new games.

sterring must be digital or something on newer arcade & older was analog or something like that

it's like 2 different technologys....

i don't recall sterring that hard in the arcade...

but for the older ones it can fit VIA multiple JAMMA connectors

Yeah, just watching the video, it does look like there must be something up with the steering in Out Run 2006. He's bouncing around all over the place as if there's a big dead-zone in the steering.

Still, it's a sweet idea and a great vid!

I used to live in coney island and I used to play turbo outrun after highschool almost everyday, I got so good at this game I used to finish it with one credit (50 cents) back then, I used to also play space harrier, 1942, dragonslair 2, super hangon, afterburner 2, and gauntlet. this brings back memories :P

I'm not sure X-Arcade even makes a controller with a spinner. Only trackballs I think. I have a spinner on my cabinet and it feels whimpy playing outrun on it. With Sprint or variants its okay but not so much with 1st person driving games.

not quite. 720 used a trackball. games like tempest and arkanoid used spinners. They're knobs like the old Atari 2600 paddles.

wrong, the x arcade tank stick has a track ball, which can be also found on the tecmo world cup cabinet, arkanoid used a paddel, centipede used a trackball, 720 used a spinner which is a joystick at an angle with no neutral position
