  • We Love You "B"

  • `whats with the eye shadow? the faggot ass

  • I believe I have heard almost every arrangement of this song. His voice is weak here, the orchastration is not fitting a Placido Domingo appearance.... but this is my absolute favorite of PERHAPS LOVE delivery by John Denver. This is close to the heart, felt, authentic. John Denver was unique... UNIQUE. God Bless Ye John wherever you are.

  • ไอ่ห่าเจ่งงะ

  • an amazing man taken too soon ...

  • when I saw him at Wolf rap in Va. ...he sang this song...his eyes teared up and with binoc's I could see tears forming...but he sang it all the way .....this was in 1992? or '94

  • @pjt614 sorrry it was Annie's Song that he cried to...not this one

  • puck 57.. did you know John? I am priviliged to attend the 13th annual tribute to John in Aspen, oct.. Its a wonderful time in Aspen, your knowledge of John would make a lovely evening, with all the music that goes on at that time... Hope you will be there.. thanks for all your input xx

  • I don't understand why this concert was used on the box set when John has such a bad cold. Why not the Apollo concert which was around the same time? THAT is an incredible concert.

This is the only set on the boxset I find difficult to watch. A bad choice as a representative of a performer's live abilities. Not that John wasn't good as always, but health precluded it being a GREAT performance.

Next time.leave the ones where poor John is ill on the cutting floor. Other than that,a GREAT DVD set.

  • The reason John voice breaks at the very start of this video - he had just explained that he wrote this song for "all of you" (his fans / friends) just after the passing of his father.. it clearly moved him

  • It also had to do with his divorce from Annie as well- this was her favorite song. He mailed it to her overnight after writing it in CA going up the coast with Annie's brother. The song has many layers- personal with his divorce and dad's death & for his fans as well- so you have to take them all together I think to fully appreciate the song. And he sang this when he was inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame in '96.

  • What a beautiful song! My wife and I had it played at our wedding 21 years ago--sung by a dear friend. Several years later we got to know John and we miss him very much.

  • I have it on order in the UK and hope to get it by next weekend...........I plan to take the phone off the hook and go places John always took me. It's an important release for fans of this man's music - in this country once you've got Portrait and wildlife concert you've got it all. Sure I've got the cd's and collections etc - I'm looking forward to seeing him sing though :-) Perhaps Love is in my Top Ten btw

  • Aspen1987.....love this song ....one of my favourites.....I received the 5 DVD set this week. Have had time to watch two of them and am looking forward to watching the others. Thanks for making this possible......

  • Excellent performance and beautiful song !

    Brilliant !

    5*****

  • DVD release was held back :(

  • Where did you hear the DVD release was held back?

  • i got an Email from amazon

  • I'm in the US and Amazon is listing that it is in. I am getting this next week for my birthday.

  • Amazon UK made a mistake. It is now listed as in stock on Amazon UK and shipping.

  • Ok. Thanks for letting me know!!!

  • Thanks, you made me see the world with his tour and his wonderful songs.

This live song is beautiful. V Nice fiddles

  • First of all, thank you for posting all these wonderful clips of John Denver! On this one however, John sounds hoarse, and struggling to hit the notes ... I'm sorry to have to be critical, but this is not at his best! I've heard other recordings where he sounds much better. Granted it's a difficult song and he closed his concert with it ... just saying.

  • While I agree that John doesn't sound his best, he had a cold and this was the end of the concert, this concert does have some really great versions of his songs and it still was a great show.

  • John was human. I saw him several times. It was in his performance in Clearwater FL that I saw his vulnerable side. Despite his cold or rough voice, he performed. Memorable all the same. No encore, but apologies. I would not have missed it.

  • yeah!!! I love this clip Perhaps love is such a moving song and John and his guitar, looking and singing great its magical! Comes out tomorrow buying it

<3 Love you John Denver were ever you may be! :) John Plays starwood in aspen on the Japenese show from 82. yesh!
