We joke about Jim Cantore and hurricanes we say where ever Jim is you want to be at least 200 miles east or west of his location. This guy Reed I want a gps update where he is anytime there is the potential for tornado. They need a way to see above tree lines. Maybe a baloon with a camera. I had my back broken by a tornado an 18 wheeler is like a sheet of paper to a tornado. Lie a sheet of paper on a flat table and blow underneath that is what a tornado does to a truck in the end springboards U.
@bigdude90 Not only that, Tornadoes happen pretty much anywhere, so pretty much every house would have to be made out of cement. And imagine what that would do to the environment, you would have to quarry out all of the materials to make the cement.
@FOTOMANIAVR because yazoo isn't the richest city.... it hit in a place where many financely unsecure families lived.. anyway this was the worst tornado we had since the 50s i think.... yazoo was not as prepared as much as it could have been.
@FOTOMANIAVR Well such a measure would save lives, yet how much would it cost? Sorry if I sound offensive, we could build concrete homes everywhere yet we might not have enough resources to do it with. That's my take on it.
@KGero478 Thanks for the reply :) Here in Italy build a small house costs around 50-100.000€. I do not know U.S. prices but I give that life no price.

It would be nice if everyone had the chance to defend themselves against these weather events
