  • Very nice! I've hard charcoal pencils for a couple years now, but I didnt know how to use them, well i really want to so now im learning how. Great video, I liked it,

  • i liked this video because you didnt use time lapse

  • dude...u seem talented n cute...u oz??

  • @babelbabe9 umm do u mean oc?

    cuz thats a no

    i live in FL :(

    but thanks for the complimentt

  • @ Th3Countryboy

When I draw foliage with charcoal I just do light scuffles, but when using inks I use either scuffling or cross-hatching

It depends on what kind of mood I'm in lol

  • Not bad, I do tree drawings myself, I only use ink though, my skills with charcoal is null. Question for ya, how do you go about drawing your leaves?

  • Sad that people think this is how you work with charcoal.

You don't mess with charcoal pencils, you used compressed charcoal. It looks like painting.

  • @southclark im not clear as to what ur saying

if your saying that i used compressed charcoal instead of charcoal pencils then ok, im not even 18, and ive had no art classes where we used multiple art mediums like charcoal, chalks, etc.

if your saying that charcoal is like painting, then yes it is, i actually use a brush to blend and remove the charcoal

if you want i can show you my skill with charcoal

but ive had no training what so ever, mind you

  • @craigery487 i accidentally deleted the part after "if your saying that i used compressed charcoal instead of charcoal pencils then ok"

i meant to say after that:

it seems like it would be understood that charcoal pencils would be compressed charcoal

but if you would like for me to show you my skills with vine charcoal then ok

also, i dont think charcoal looks like painting... it depends

and i said in the very beginning that you can use whatever medium you want, i just like the look of charcoal

  • I am Really good at drawing...But ive never tried to draw with charcoal and i was wondering if yuhh could give me some tips so i could improve my art ... let me know what yuhh can doo thanks!

  • @sshhggss youve never used charcoallll!!!!!!

im posting the second part to this vid eventually, my old computer died(which had the video on it, so im making a new vid now that i have a MACCCC!;] )

but yeah the most simple tip i can give u is to be light, and dont erase EVER with charcoal

i learned how to use charcoal by drawing still life and by closing my eyes and drawing an image i come up with in my head, and never erasing

really in truly though, like all other mediums, it jus takes practice

  • @craigery487 okayy i understand wat yurr saying but thiis is how i can improve my art.... if yuh let me kno i would b truly greatful

  • @sshhggss ok well ummm im posting the new video tonight at around 10 new york time soo yeah
