  • am i the only one who came here after watching tribbleofdoom?

  • love the baseline at the end

  • I wish Weakerthans and Aesop Rock would do a song together. That would absolutely blow my mind.

  • I actually prefer the 'Country Version', but that's probably cause I've been listening to that version since I was 11, and I just heard this version today for the first time! Also, these lyrics are incredible.

  • I liked the acoustic version that was on Hopelessly Devoted to You 3 better

  • well said banky, very well said : v) I think that reflects how heartbreaking the weakerthans can be if you listen to those lyrics...and how I think a lot of people's hearts are breaking when they drink coffee

  • Two of the best things to come out of Canada.....

    1. Propagandhi/The Weakerthans

    2. Hockey

  • @crackerstick72001 and Venetian Snares :P

  • @punxtr18 Word!

  • @crackerstick72001 In that order.

  • I can listen to this over and over and over..... fucken awesome lyrics: cynicism falls asleep.....tyranny talks to itself.....sappy slogans all come true.....we forget to feed our fear....

  • for me: weakerthans is coffee music, propagandhi is beer music. 2 of my favorite bands.

  • say i needed more than this say i needed one more kiss :)

  • This is the very first song, i heard from Weakerthans, and i instantly fell in love. It's socio-political, but not overly-preachy like John's proto-band, Propagandhi, and it's punk rock, but it's not narrow-minded. Unlike Propagandhi, Weakerthans successfully throw folk, indie, and even country into the blender, and the result is pure genius.

  • @pinheadskulls Propagandhi is prob the msot intelligent band to come out in the past 15 years. The albums with John on them are a brilliant mix of Weakerthans esque songs ie Anchorless,Showdown etc. and intelligent political punk along with some early 90's skate board tunes. The Weakerthans may be good but Propagandhi is the best/

  • @pinheadskulls I certainly wouldn't call Propagandhi overly preachy. Propagandhi is my favorite band of all time. Just like IwroteHansmoleman wrote, they're the most intelligent band to come out in...I don't know, maybe ever. However, I adore the Weakerthans and I love both bands in different contexts. Propagandhi stir up the angry vegan anarchist in me while Samson's Weakerthans make me think about my life and what I want from it. Both bands move me equally.

  • @teh1337hackz0rz shut the fuck up you hippie faggot

  • under 3,500 views, only four comments. you know its indie. and also. kick ass.

  • @pippasxxsputnik well...more views & more comments... I don't think these guys have sold out, maybe more people are starting to actually pay attention to what they're listening to?

  • bloody xcellent!
