Hey, GMD, is your '69 pretty noisy? Mine sure as heck is. Maybe I've become accustomed to the lower noise floor of today's pedals. But even though I like the '69s tone, the noise kinda bothers me. Or maybe it's just my '69 that's noisy.
the 69 has more fuzz power than what is shown here... no disrespect gmd. in addition to the fuzz knob, the 69 has an input knob that will give it that extra fuzziness we all so desire when cranked up.
There is so much character in that tone-bender circuit, just love what Fulltone puts out. Digging the 69' but I already have a 70's and I really need other classic fuzzes beside the fuzzface. Trying to decide between a Soul-Bender or a Scarab Deluxe, probably the Scarab since it's point to point and can eek out a lot of the sounds I'm hearing from the Soul-Bender. Still those germaniums in the MKII Soul-Bender sound really warm to my ears and I like that. Thanks for the comparison video! d^^
Both indeed! It's like the tool box. Question: Just how many screw drivers do you need? Answer: All of them.....same thing with pedals...amps....guitars....etc...
@ShakeZulaTheMicRula Really? I thought the 69 was a little warmer, but didn't have the gain that the Soul Bender had. Id use the 69 for a rhythm and the Soul Bender for lead. Then both for a huge jimi hendrix lead haha
@ledzeppelin174 Just for my own personal preference I tend to lean more towards the bright and sharp sounding effects rather than warm sounding effects. It's just something I've always found myself doing, and I'm trying to get out of that habit, haha.
I just ordered both... Your bitchin demo videos are driving me straight into the poorhouse...

Usually I'm not into germanium fuzzes, but the SoulBender kicks fucking ass!

69 I prefer personally, it's a lot warmer and not as sharp as the Fulltone.

69 kills it for the lower pitch stuff and cleans up better, but that soul- bender sounds amazing on the upper frets. sigh guess i gotta buy both.

Wow, these both sound amazing. I think I lean more towards the Soul Bender, but they both have a really nice sound.
